very addictive, managed to reach level 50. game feels very polished, only thing u could ask is for more upgrades, enemies, maps... cause this is very fun to play, looking forward to an update.

very comfy game, art looked great, and overall aesthetic definitely fit the jam.
- while playing i constantly dragged the food towards the animals instead of the square UI thingy, which i felt wud have been way better and intuitive.
- dragged food appears behind the 'make' and 'trash buttons, instead of the front.
very impressive for a jam game, feels very complete: alot of interesting mechanics in here (weather, time, etc), pacing also felt quite nice, and gameplay/instructions were simple and clear.
- UI is too big, i felt like having smaller icons wud have done a better job since the current one takes up too much space on the screen
- there could also have been more item slots instead of needing to go back and forth scrolling up and down for items
- audio really kills the games vibes for me, it keeps overlapping and crackling
- maybe assign camera movement to mouse right click-and-drag instead of WASD.
games pretty solid for what it is, has enough in here to keep interest. would have been more interesting to have varying lose conditions.
- maybe insects or animals walking around trampling your plants
- needing to place obstacles or fences, etc.
- ways to progress or upgrade tools.
- some automations like robots that autoplant/harvest or sprinklers for watering.
the game wasnt very intuitive, i had to restart the game and reread the instructions multiple times just to understand how to play. was really looking forward to enjoy this specially with how impressive the game looked. controls felt nice, the world feels cozy, but not knowing wut to do or how to play really killed any motivation i initially had. i wud really try fixing that for the next update.
while i did say i liked how the controls felt; i think it cud have been simplified, like flying towards your camera for all axis instead of having a separate button for ascending and descending.
cute concept, but thats pretty much it. there are some really interesting and well done mechanics in here like when your selecting where to plant or water and it auto selects it.
not much to criticize atm, since theres barely anything here; its a walking simulator where u can sometimes plant and harvest stuff.
i would say though that the camera is too far away, an adaptive camera wud be nice here... where it zooms out as your sprinting, or pans to the direction of your cursor.
game looks charming; though the pacing is very slow, as far as idle games go. the screen resolution shud also be fixed, as it doesnt fit my monitor.
with more polish this cud be a fun lil idle game, but as of now it can feel a bit stale. not much to do during the start and can feel like a drag to play through.
uve mentioned wanting to make a steam release. id hold off on that idea for a bit, specially since your game feels and looks empty. for your game to sell well it needs to look interesting even from a screenshot. there is too much empty space and the games background is nonexistent; there is no movement or anything interesting going on.
short and simple, also nice to see it following the flavor texts of the jam.
the Mixels... having inconsistent pixel sizes really hurts the games look, consistency in artstyle is very important if u want a polished looking game. game also lacks impact, game juice, and sfx when hitting the flower stems. text font could also have been picked to better match the games art.
id also fix the lose conditions, since simple flying over and skipping everything or just hitting the flower stems, doesnt really add much of a challenge, not that a game necessarily needs a challenge but considering thats the only goal of the game id suggest polishing that aspect more.
art and game vibes were immaculate, very comfy. finding and trying out the different weapons was definitely the highlight of the game.
going into the game blind, i was completely lost, with no tutorial or proper introduction on what to do i had to start over and read the page description to figure out what exactly the game was about. playing for a bit the game pretty much comes down to open any flower u come across, try new weapon, kill enemies, look for portal. for most games on this genre that tends to be enough, but here it just feels way to repetitive and the game quickly losses ur interest. areas look way to similar, not enough enemy variety or really any need to fight enemies... it felt like i shud just open flowers and find portals instead of fighting. while the player attacks do seems interesting at a glance, theres not much depth to it or any impact... definitely requires a bit more polish and game juice.
theres not much to do in the game, which is fine for a jam game. definitely has potential, but with how it is now theres just no real reason to come back and replay.
very unique implementation of the theme, not to mention of a tower defense game. art looks really nice, though the games pacing felt a bit slow, even for a tower defense game... for the jam version i think speeding things up a bit wud have been a better approach, since based on gathered data most jammers tend to play only for the first 5 mins before stopping.
very nice, could use a bit more juice and while the simple shapes made the game work; i feel like having a bit more detail for the art wud have helped give more 'pop' to the game. regardless the gameplay was pretty solid, felt pretty fair for a jam game.
also a simple quick change u cud implement is having the camera zoom and pan out with the player... the farther they are to each other the more zoomed out the camera will be. this helps give an illusion of depth to the surroundings.
slr didnt see this earlier :)
well generally game jams here on itch are video game centric unless specified otherwise (art jam, music jam, tabletop jam, etc)...
while none video game entries are allowed... how u implement the limitation is still up to u and the community, even if the implementation isnt 100% standard.
for a table top game u can still implement the "start with a cutscene" by making and providing a short video? a comic strip art? ... anything really that can provide visual story telling before playing the game🤔
