I was curious to see what would happen if I reached the indicated distance, but I wasn’t able to do it. I was just running without even shooting; the mobs deal too much damage, and the distance is very long. The sprites lack shadows, and the brown monsters look like a blot — they need more detail. Overall, it’s a good idea, and even just shooting at the mobs doesn’t get boring quickly. I’d also like to see what the boosts provide. In any case, thank you for the work. I liked how the pistol looks in the preview; it would be cool if the eye moved ))
As a beginner programmer, I would be interested in how this works under the hood, but I am a Unity developer :)

Completely agree with all the shortcomings; the game turned out to be a bit more difficult to implement than I expected. In any case, I plan to continue developing games, so I’ll just take note of my mistakes and move forward!
Regarding the fact that at first there isn’t enough time to feed the mouth, I did this intentionally: you were supposed to drag it back to the start of the path while the mouth finishes eating the first character. However, this clearly wasn’t obvious to the player and should have been implemented differently. As for upgrades, yes, there are few items because good ideas started coming only in the last few days, and I wouldn’t have had enough time to implement them. :)
