Very very cute! The cat animations - especially the holding animation - are super adorable!

I love the visual design!!! The paper texture is so fitting and the characters are all really cute!! (˶ˆᗜˆ˵)

Loved the paper made aesthetic! I think it's neat that the witch has a different visual style than literally everything else in the game. It gives her a sinister aura despite knowing nothing about her. The music is also really great although I wished it looped more smoothly.

Timmy is so cute! I have to wonder why he has tears in his eyes. Is he sad but trying to smile through the pain? Is he so happy that he can't help but cry? Is there something more complex happening here? It's great.

It would be cool if there was more story/thoughts/dialogue in the game. This world intrigues me and is fun to move around in! I want to know more about it.

Oh this is just lovely, the collage environment and artwork are gorgeous. I love cats and finding them as a cute little ghost is fun and relaxing. I especially like the small detail of the ghosts hands slowly moving and as you come out of the house it felt nicely composed as the ghost pops out to find the next kitty. Also "Kitty Quest" is a cool name - great submission, one of my favs from this game jam :)

Very chill and cozy vibes in the music. Very lo-fi beat, super pleasing.

Cute ghost, cute interactions with the cats and I loved how they all sang at the credits.

I just also want to say I’m having a bit of tendinitis, so I was playing with my left hand on the trackpad/touchpad, and it was a bit awkward to play like that. I’d have liked an WASD + E control option.

cuteeeeeeeee, loving the origami world

The art is so adorable, and I love the paper world. I think it would have been cool if the birds flew away when you got too close, and if the witch had something to say to you once you returned all of the cats.

Really smart and creative idea to unify a couple of different art styles with this paper cutout technique, looks great! Short, lo-fi tunes fit the quirky personality of the game really well.

Damn, if anyone keeps up with what feedback I write to these submissions, I might sound pretty disingenuous at this point: but this is the most visually striking game I played so far in this jam. The art style is seriously incredible and it oozes creativity. Whichever artist you have working with you: keep them fed, keep them happy, and keep them working! :)

As for the game: I loved it. Short, cute, cozy and bug free. There are some minor things that could be improved:

  • playing on PC, I could have lived with using WASD instead of the mouse; but I figure you did it like that so it can be played on mobile as well
  • the bottom part of the interior looks like a placeholder (some 3D primitive with no texture, and a blue primitive for the door); it would have been nice to deal with that
  • Timmy could also hover over this area, and at first I thought I went out of bounds (it would've been in character for a ghost though)
  • the song loop was a bit too short, so it started sounding repetitive

But seriously, good job on the whole aesthetic & vibes. You guys should really, really consider working on a proper game in this style, it would be a huge selling point.

Really cute, really cozy :)
It took me a minute to find the way outside of the house xD Maybe some sort of door sprite or other indication would have been helpful. But apart from that I love the aesthetic of the game. The music and art style fit together super well which is impressive since you guys are multiple artists if I'm not mistaken.

The paper cutouts style looks amazing. The movement was a bit off at times, but I still had fun playing!

Developer(+2)

Thanks for checking it out! I also figured out why the movement is weird, I didn't layer everything correctly :P

The gameplay is kinda repetetive and controls are hard/strange BUT the games art and vibes are very nice. Great job!
