And I completely agree with your points. We did purposely lean into the characters archetypes in this introductory section with the intention of the characters personalities being unveiled more as the mystery progressed (and they are faced with challenges they're unused to), but I can definitely see how they'd feel a bit too familiar in their current forms. Also good idea with the different fonts for characters, definitely something to think about!! (ᵔᗜᵔ)
Yeah our starting idea was just 'what if there was a slightly grisly murder in one of those girls go games style cute flash games' and we ran with it from there XD. We def planned on adding audio but it was put to the side alongside some more in depth investigation mechanics when one of us was more busy than we expected to be, definitely plan to add sounds if we continue with this game :D
I really like the art for this!!! and the part of the narrative you've written so far is really intriguing, cant wait to see how the game improves if you develop it further ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ) (I did get a little lost when following the sticky notes but quickly picked up what I was supposed to do)
I really like the visuals and the bits of story i picked up here!! (˶ˆᗜˆ˵) If you come back to this in the future consider adding something to prevent the player being killed while reading notes (or add the notes collected as permanently accessible items so a player can hide and read them)
