And we should celebrate it!

Cozy Fall Jam is an annual 3-day gamejam about making a cozy little game based around anything fall. Get inspired by the season and make the coziest game you can imagine!

It's all about the good vibes. This jam doesn't require a huge commitment! Even if you've only got a couple hours or just 1 day, that's perfect. This jam is perfect for everyone, from beginner game-makers that are just dipping their toes in, to seasoned jammers that are looking for a relaxed weekend having fun and being creative making cozy games.

The general theme of the jam is anything fall-related, but there is also an additional theme, which is:

'Lost and found'

We all lose things sometimes, or might get lost ourselves. Friendships might be lost and at a later time be found again, and we might even find a new sense of purpose - or that watch we lost years ago...

Feel free to get inspired by this theme, or completely ignore it if it's not your thing.

Jamming is more fun together! We have an amazing community of cozy jammers to share your gamejam experience with. Make sure to join the Discord to be able to chat, get/give feedback and find people to team up with!

If you don't like competition, feel free to skip this part!

Everyone who submitted a game can play and rate other games (up to 1 week after the jam ends). This can be a fun way to create some healthy competition, but it's also a great way to give each other constructive, written feedback. It's good gamejam etiquette to play each others games! And remember: don't be afraid to say something nice :)

(Games will be rated on the following criteria: Cozy Fall Vibes, Enjoyment, Creativity and Presentation)

Breaking the rules may result in your game being disqualified/ removed from the jam.

  1. No AI generated content allowed! This jam celebrates human-made content, so no AI content of any kind is allowed! This includes assets for on your itch page.
  2. Don't feel limited by the 'videogame' part of this jam. You want to make a story, comic or paper card game? Go for it!
  3. No NSFW content (except mild violence, of course.)
  4. You can use any engine, or tools you want.
  5. You may use pre-existing code and assets you made, but you shouldn't specifically make assets for this jam ahead of time.
  6. You can use external assets you have the rights to, but you should give proper credit for each.
  7. Don't submit paid games. After the jam (and 1-week rating period) has ended, you're free to make your game paid.
  8. Don't submit games you did not make in the period of this jam.
  9. Don't submit games that have ALSO been submitted to other jams (this is to avoid spam).

The previous Cozy Jam edition (Spring 2025) was a big success, with 370 participants, and almost 100 finished projects!

If you're looking for inspiration, check out the previous jam's submissions.
