I absolutely loved the aesthetics on this! Everything was so well done, from the explosion mechanics to the incredible health bar with the crows. The bosses were neat and I loved how the game actually gave love to Longgoons for once!

A lot of explosions in a chain reaction! Lack of treats for D.A.D. spiraling into a Dragoon uprising.

Very cool visuals! The chains of explosions are awesome!
The level design is well made but it took me some time to figure out that certain elements are blockers that only disappear after blowing up a connected element in a different part of the map. Eventually I got it. XD
Sometimes the enemy dead bodies would block my shots, preventing me from taking out enemies further away. Would be nice if dead enemies stopped colliding with the bullets.
Definitely looks like a game that could be in that speedrun records website.

This is super polished in the visual aspect, gameplay is super simple and fun too, great work!
This game is awesome! Visual effects are polish and clear, especially the explosions! Enemy designs are hilarious and clear to what their purpose are and the levels are unique and feel completed. My only nit picking is how wish my bullet would go pass the dead enemies.

Seems like many have already talked about the HP bar and tight controls, but I want to point out the crazy amount of polish in the visual effects as well. The explosion effect is really well done, impactful, and conveyed the blast radius well. Actions like shooting, getting hit, and running are accompanied by plenty of effects. The level design is also polished, never felt repetitive, and things like HP and enemies are well placed. Another cool feature is that the aiming is not completely 2D. It took me a while to realise it, but it nice to be able to hit the dragoons that are otherwise unreachable. Good job on the game!
Really pretty game! Loved the HP bar being crows. It was definitely quite difficult, and kudos on the super fast clear time. I only managed to clear it in 7 minutes on my first try. It was quite hard to place my own bombs to clear the path without the enemies surrounding me.
Fun game with very satisfying explosions. My favorite part is actually the HP bar, it's super creative!
I am tempted to speedrun it to beat the best time, but I gotta rate other games too! The art design is fantastic, the controls are tight, and the sound are splendid. Things get more out of hand the further you go. AND it has the most unique health system I have seen yet! Truly this is a spectacular jam game! Fantastic!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the game! The health bar being a bunch of crows on a powerline was such a silly idea that we just had to do it.
Our playtesters played through the game so much that they began to find i-frame and respawn exploits to make their runs go faster than we expected. It's nuts.

You know I wouldn't say they're glitches, but just exploiting game mechanics, managing health and good pathing haha. But here's a list of stuff that could help you improve your score
- Your own bombs deal 1 dmg to yourself, big dragoon bombers deal 3 dmg and snipers deal 2 dmg. You can mitigate the extra damage from enemies if you just bomb yourself.
- I don't think the barrels placed in the map actually do damage LOL. I think I messed something up when I was trying to fix some stuff during testing.
- You have 0.5s of i-frames after getting hit.
- You can blow up the red trains next to you for just 1 dmg which isn't really a big deal.
- In Section 2, You can blow up the big barrel pile and then use the big dragoons to quickly die and respawn while the explosions are happening. (I'm actually not sure if this is faster than just running, but you do get a full heal from the respawn).
- In Section 3 with the large walls, it's hard, but you can shoot the barrels near the snipers to activate the gunpowder trail mid-way instead of the very beginning.
- I think one of the red trains after the first boss isn't actually connected to anything so you can just skip it (oops).
- During the jump at the final stage, you can land on top of the train on the right and skip the initial walk around.
- At the final stage, you can simply skip the right side of the map after clearing the first red train and just blow up the big barrel if you place a bomb at the very top corner.
Fun to play ! Simple and direct I like it. I didn't know at first we could keep RMB down to make the trailer longer and kept blowing myself up lol
Also I'm not sure if it's intended or not, but at some point a yellow and white floor (under a train) flashed red and blue.
I loved the visuals, the 3D models are cute. The shooting and movement felt good to use ! Very solid game every where, good job !

The explosions are super satisfying! Got to play this a little before submissions we're closed so I'm glad I got to play it again.
Super fun and fits the theme perfectly! The 3D setup and animations are really dynamic! Great variation of enemies and tutorialization without interrupting gameplay. I found myself blowing up on accident with the trails in place a lot LOL amazing job!
it feels really smooth to play and the enemy variety is great! i love how you made the bullets angle up/down depending on where you wanted to shoot, it made it feel so natural to play
