Nice game, I think it was a bit hard, but still great job :)

I think the idea for the game is really solid. I don't know how you made the choices procedural but I think it's really cool that you did so each play through can be different. But I do think there were way too many options and way too many hints to keep track of so actually finding the correct thing felt like it was more based on luck. It took so long to accurately find the correct thing and sometimes it felt like some items did fit the description but just wasn't correct. But I think the time was stressing me out so I could've gotten something wrong. I wasn't able to win but I did git it a few goes. I got 3 correct as my max on a single run and started spamming at the end because of time :( cool concept cool game. Nice art I think making it easier would definitely make the experience better :D
Very good graphics. Just a little complicated to understand what to do! Good job!
I enjoyed the bit of the game i played but it was a bit hard. overall good job tho
Cool game, nice atmosphere. The gameplay mechanics are unique and fun. It fits into the theme and the dabble of humour was entertaining. Overall very polished, fun game. Well done dude, be proud :)
Really like the atmostphere and overall vibe of the game! ✨
Though it was so difficult trying to find out what the correct items are within such a short time span, and I agree with most the comments here, so no need to say much, love the artstyle and design of the enemy, great job guys!
Have to say, it really got me the first time I got to 0 shots left! Timer keeps the tension up, it can be difficult to keep track of all the hints but I had fun, simple concept but well delivered!
This game is a very polished project. It grabs your attention from the start and delivers a consistent, pleasant experience. You can feel the care put into its development. It’s worth spending some time with. I usually don't play games like this but this one grabbed my attention
Game is pretty fun but it gets frustrating trying to figure out the right items with all the rules. This was the longest game I've played in this jam lol.
Not bad! Had fun playing it, even tho I'm too bad to finish it haha.
I don't usually play this type of games, but it's good for what it is :)
I agree with the other comment that it would make more sense to label them as criteria instead of hints, but aside from that small detail, it was a really good experience.
The atmosphere is excellent, the sound design in particular makes a huge difference. At one point I even thought someone had actually knocked on my door, which definitely got me spooked. And when I failed my first playthrough, the jumpscare almost killed me because it came right after those creepy stepping sounds.
Overall, it was a really fun and immersive entry. Great job!
Once I found out what the gameplay was all about, it was really fun!
I would've liked to see which objects were asked for when losing, because when I won, I already knew all the objects that were mimics! Also, the amount of guesses felt a bit difficult in the beginning. When losing one too many shots, while not having found many objects, clicking random objects to "just try again" felt more efficient, especially if you mathematically couldn't win anymore.
The ambiance is really fitting and the experience is well rounded!
I find it amusing that the settings button on the phone doesn't actually work 😂
Tidali from Crowfox ;)
We didn't have much time to try the game. We didn't notice issues like insufficient shots and the game not ending when you mathematically failed to win, so we couldn't fix them. We deliberately chose not to reveal which items were skinwalkers at the end of the game. Since we were playing through fixed levels, we tought showing items when we didn't know would make it too easy for the player to learn and become bored with the game faster. Thank you for your feedback.
Gameplay is good, I like it. But it is basically impossible to know what to do without viewing the hints, so I would recommend to instead label that as "criteria" or "tasks" instead of hints, since they're less of hints and more of an actual checklist of things you (as the player) need. It's also a bit confusing on the skinwalker situation, are the skinwalkers the objects and that's why we have to take pictures of them like what the client requested? I was just unsure of the point of the object search gameplay when taking in consideration the story since the game doesn't really have a proper conclusion to it. Other than that, very solid visual style and gameplay.
We understand the idea of using "criteria" or "quests" instead of "hints." English isn't our native language, and we thought "hints" would suffice. We were wrong, thanks for letting us know. Additionally, we receive an email when starting the game, saying that skinwalkers are real and that we can deactivate them by taking their pictures. We had considered telling the story in a visual novel style, but we ran out of time. Thanks for your feedback.
It is very understandable to mistake hints to be sufficient, and I find that it is still a good word to use! Though as I suggested, there may be others much fitting so I'm happy to help. I myself am not educated on skinwalkers though, but I found myself to be immersed in the way you guys implemented them regardless of the story's completion. Still a really good job if you ask me!
