i really like this one, the art the characters, the story and the world (idk what the loopy purple thing is but i wanna know),the little butt shake some of the characters do while typing is really cute, i love how each character has their own job, both in the ship and game

the game took a bit to figure out, maybe the learning process can be stream lined a bit more but i had fun figuring it out

and despite being a pretty simple puzzle the surrounding events and split rooms makes it pretty engaging

really cool game!

Developer

woohoo thank you so much!! we had a lot of fun with the world building and the art (my first time doing so many character sprite animations!! definitely a challenge, but overall a really great learning experience :)) would love to hear what your thought are on streamlining the learning process! maybe more tutorialization of the control :O?? but glad to hear you still had fun!! thank you for the wonderful feedback and for playing our game <3!!

Submitted(+1)

That was intense and a little confusing at start, but it was fun to figure out

Developer

woohoo!! glad to hear you had a good time playing through :D thank you so much for playing!!

This is really polished, although I was confused at first you quickly understand it, btw I liked that voice acting adds a nice touch

Developer(+1)

thank you so much!! we're super happy to hear that it was easy to pick up :) <3 and gotta show lots of love to alana for coordinating all the voice acting (and of course all the wonderful people who volunteered their voices for this <3) thank you so much for playing :D!!

This was an incredibly polished, complete game - I'm in awe that you managed to do it all in such a short time! It took me a hot second to figure out what to do, and also that I had the option to progress to the next loop early if I wanted to. Literally the only thing that I can think of that would improve the experience is for a win screen. Also, while the voice acting was a great touch, I did find it somewhat jarring that the lines played when the characters died, and only when they died, it seemed.

But my goodness I'm just absolutely amazed at the overall quality of the game!

Developer

aaa thank you so much for your kind words QwQ <3!! we actually did try to implement a win screen at the once you had all 4 people escape, but i'm not sure it came across super clear. would you have any suggestions for what we could do to improve on that? perhaps more art/storyboard for a conclusion :O?? also, our voice lines were meant to be for their death lines (and you'd get different lines for each loop!) for the future, we were hoping to implement more voice acting outside of the deaths :D thank you so much for all your feedback and for playing our game <3!!

I was confused at first, but it turned out to be a really fun management game when I figured it out. It wasn't too hard, but it wasn't so easy as just "press the right buttons at the right time". Really cool hand drawn art too.

Developer

ayy we're glad to hear that we nailed the difficulty on this one!! was something we were worried about and messed around with quite a bit, so happy to hear that it came across well :3 thank you so much for playing our game <3!!

Neat game, nice that you added voice lines, great for trial and error, all around pretty good!

Developer

Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed~

WOW!! Great game guys. Loved the art, music, and puzzle. The voice lines were also a fun addition.

Developer

Awww, thank you so much! Writing and directing all the voice lines was a big highlight of the development process for me. So glad they added to the experience!

embodiment of trial and error!! this is ACTUALLY SO GOATED??? LOVED the art and learning from each loop felt rewarding!! the sound effects were effective in letting me know when another member needed help! I think i beat this in 6 tries?? not quite sure, i wish it told you how many tries it took for you to beat it at the end!!

Developer

Ahhhhh, such high praise, thank you so much!! :3 And congrats on getting The Arc crew to safety! Adding a loop count at the end is a great idea. I know we have it on the loop end screen before you restart, but it would be cool to see your total once you beat it!

The idea to switch between different points and complete tasks to help the others was done really well, and learning from the visual indicators was also well done rather than just a tutorial. Great art, great design, fantastic project.

Developer

Thanks for playing and reviewing! As a team, we had so much fun leaning into our different areas of expertise to make it all come together. We're thrilled foregoing a tutorial felt natural, too! That was a bit of a hypothesis we had that played out well in playtesting, so we chose to run with it.

Very interresting idea and very well executed ! It's Awesome !

Loved the puzzle, the artwork is dang lovely. The music fits very well. I enjoyed it a lot! Great work!

Developer

Thanks so much, friend! Our artist Amy did such a brilliant job making everything visually come to life~

This was a really fun puzzle to work out.  The artwork, music are great.  The game gives you just enough time to get a little further along.  Perfectly fits the jam theme.

As a small suggestion, I'd revamp the game over screen.  It just doesn't look as good as the rest of the game.

Thanks for playing and for the honest feedback!

enjoyed this a lot!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much <3!!

Ahhh this is super high quality!  The art is gorgeous, and the main loop is very fun and really tense, which I think was the point! I genuinely gasped a little when I heard the voice acting lol. Insanely well made for a jam game, and really satisfying to finally get right -- you guys should be proud (:!

Developer

aaa thank you so much for the kind words QwQ <3!! gotta give love to Alana who wrote all the voice acting lines and a shout out to everyone who volunteered their voices for this!! glad to hear you had a great experience playing (and thank you so much for taking the time to play <3!!)

Developer

Tosco Salami rated my game??? Wow, if only I could find the Salami...

Thanks so much for playing; appreciate the kind words!

My stress levels went right up until I realised the steps I needed to take. How fun!

Developer(+1)

haha we wanted to make sure we kept the player on their toes ;) thank you so much for playing our game <3!!

Submitted(+1)

This was awesome! It was really cool trying to work out what each person was in charge of doing and what they had to input in what sequence in order to escape. Getting a little further each loop was very satisfying

Developer

Thank you so much!  That was *exactly* the experience we hoped to achieve, means a lot :)  Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Certainly an appealing game in art style and music! Gameplay-wise I wasn't sure what to do at first but I figured out eventually. The time limit definitely makes it a tense game to keep people on their toes. Congrats on the game!

Developer

Thank you so much!  So glad to hear that, we definitely wanted to have that kind of confusion-to-clarity.  Glad you figured it out even with the tension .  Thanks for playing!
