Game Description
Ink-ognito is a silly game about drawing with invisible ink. A rich guy has invited you over for an art contest, but he’s not going to make it fair. Do your best to copy the images using your invisible ink, and get the best grade… or at least not an F!

How does your game tie into the theme?
The core mechanic is that you can't see your art while you are drawing it

Very well done, and now it looks like I need to learn about the $Q Super-quick recognizer algorithm. I also particularly enjoyed the dialogue, some of it reminded me of a certain someone lol. Probably my favorite game of the jam I have played so far. If I had to nitpick about something to improve, there were moments while the dialogue was appearing where it would try to put part of a word on a line, but then switch to put that word on the next line. It wasn't super problematic, but it is a pet peeve of mine that I often see in game jam games

Really cool concept! I liked very much the setting and how we are challenged everytime. I am found of the graphics but espacially the choice of the music, and the dialogs are satisfying. I'm quite curious though, how to you mark the drawing? (my bad I just saw your answer in the comment below ^^') It was not as frustruating as I expected.

Great job!

Here are my "masterpieces" x)

Really great entry! Probably my favorite this Jam. The dialog was fun, and I really appreciated the accessibility option of progressing regardless of score. I kept getting an F on the volcano and after 3 failures was going to quit, but checked the options and saw I could progress. Funny enough after I tried again I got a D and could have passed anyway. Just to experiment I tried doing one with just a line, and the chosen dialog was `I knew you would do that` So perfect.

I’m glad you found all the guardrails I put in I think you’re the first person to comment about them!  I had some secret extra drawings, like scribbles and inappropriate drawings, and it matches against those too because I didnt want players to get away with scribbling.  And I was very pleased the with relaxed mode, very few lines of code to make it happen, big accessibility W that lets everyone get thru the game content how they want!  I think I’ll always add it in the future everywhere that it’s feasible (ie when you can decouple success/progress from gameplay).  Thanks for playing!

Probably the funniest game in the jam! The concept is very creative, the visuals are great and the dialogue made me laugh a lot. I just wonder how the images are compared, because I'm sure I created some aliens. Very good game!

For judging I used the $Q Super-Quick Recognizer algorithm.    If you got a D or greater it means the algorithm actually did know what your drawing was supposed to be!  F is for when it recognized a different drawing (eg thought your dog was a horse).  I was pretty surprised how good it is, especially because its just using some transformations and then calculating distances between points, no AI/ML.  I think it's sensitive to all the lines being there (even if they are wonky) and then distinct features, like the wheels on the firetruck.  Overall I was a bit nervous about trusting something new/unknown for grading instead of just "how many pixels overlap" but I'm pretty pleased with how it worked out!
