How does the game fit the theme?
Everything seems peaceful at first, you find yourself in a calm forest with your small setup: a tent and a campfire. Birds are singing and everything feels natural, like nothing could possibly go wrong. But as you start managing your resources and maintaining your sanity, you soon realize that every decision counts. One mistake can lead to drastic consequences, and the situation can quickly spiral out of control if you're not aware enough of what's going on around you. So basically everything could go wrong ( it's sort of an irony ) :)
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The shader for the main menu, the tileset for the "forest" and "ground", the main menu background image and the ambient sounds ( I have no forest nearby :) )

Fun game! I managed to survive until the 4th day.
The art was great and so was the idea and gameplay.
I have two question:
1. Did you make the talking sound by yourself (it was pretty cool)
2. When you die what is suposed to happen because when I died all that happend was colors changing. what I am actually asking is was it a bug?
Hey, I'm glad you liked it!
1. Yes, I made the talking sounds by myself ( one of them is actually my girlfriend's voice :D ), and I pitched them up so they sound squeaky
2. There are 3 endings:
a) one where you shoot the flare gun ( that you have to find exploring ) and the next day you basically won because people came to rescue. ( "You escaped" ending )
b) you go insane when you lose all your sanity, everything changes color and the next day (after you sleep) you basically go crazy in the woods ( It's the "gone crazy" ending ) .
c) you die of health and when you return from the activity where you lost your health, you start walking really slow until you can't move at all and eventually die (it takes like 5 seconds to lose all your movement speed) and you have the "You died" ending.
oh I was suposed to go to sleep. I thought it was a bug.
Amazing work, the details of animation and sound effects are great! Maybe I'm unlucky, always getting hurt, and finding nothing when exploring :(
WOw, this game's very cool. I love the character's movement and the art, really good job!! The concept of keeping your sanity high while managing other resources is clever and adds some sort of challenge and makes you think about your choices. Nice!
Very nice game! I really liked the decision making with the energy and how consequential it became. I quickly found myself leaving no energy for wood chopping and then getting left in the dark to go insane all because I didn't quite manage it correctly. The art was very nice and ambience tracks were pretty great, they added to the atmosphere quite well.
Great work!
Cool game loop and gameplay overall! I was strategically choosing what to do in order to survive more and this was very fun and interesting! Nice game!
Amazing inventory system you put in the game!! I bet you got inspiration from minecraft and terraria!?!
Great Work!!
Interesting little survival game :D
Pretty nice game overall. Thx for the game
Amazing game !
Really liked your visuals and character animation. Game loop is great, but delay between actions is too long. I think you need some mini-games for cooking food, starting a fire, ets. Maybe keep the fire going. Was fun to play, but it gets repetitive quickly. The game game have a great potential but you need to continue cooking. Maybe enemies will try to get close and extinguish the fire and you need to keep them away or smth like that.
The visuals are very cool! The game is great
In my opinion the character should be replaced by something that fits the AD a bit more, if you do that i'd probably buy the game on steam right away!
I really like the premise of re-using the structure of games like 60 seconds but putting it into a fantasy setting. Sadly, I never made it to the end and after trying 3 times, I had to give up. The game balancing feels off, exploring was almost always a waste of time for me and even trying to skip nights by not using fire and then resting to get both sanity and energy back wasn't a good strat for me. I also somehow feel like a good strat is to come out of a night with 0 hunger and 0 water thirst, that way you can do actions for free since you can't die from hunger / thirst during the day, but maybe that's just me?
I love the flashlight mechanic and I think it adds depth to the game.
I would've wished for some music.
One of my fav games still, I hope u can tweak it here and there :)
I really appreciate the very detailed feedback! And you are right, I became aware of the bad balancing after more people commented on it, I didn't have much time to balance things out because I focused a lot on actually finishing the game and making everything feel "polished" during gameplay. You are the first person to mention the similarity with 60 seconds which was the exact game I had in mind while making this one :D . Thanks again a lot for the feedback and suggestions, have a wonderful day buddy!
Also I'll make sure to play and rate your game tomorrow! It looks really promising.
Thank you for rating our game! :) By the way, if you would like to continue developping your game I'd like to help you out! If you think that's a good idea or if you just wanna reach out feel free to add me on Discord! My username is the same :)
Nice art, chilly and I got a little tense, even with the small setup I totally embraced the feeling of being alone in the woods, imagining things,
Not much to say negative, only a few bugs when pressing E before going to sleep, but nothing that could ruin my experience.
Well done, adding it to my hidden jam gem list :)
cool game really love the art
Loved the graphics and the controls! everything felt smooth enough to use, I particularly love the flashlight effect. I think all the game is missing now is more content, great job!
loved the concept, the graphics and animations, loved the flashlight effect! The night was really scary, the eyes looking at the character... uh ! haha! For the inventory a small cross on the modal to close it would be a cool nice enhancement i think. You have a done a great job, congratulations.
Tried my best, but the game is super stingy with giving you batteries! Made it as far as day 17, but all my careful planning amounted to nothing when despite all the exploring, I only ever found a single battery. The game is good though. It works well for what it is and makes for a decent resource management game, even if strategy falls to randomness. Nice work!
Awesome game dude!
