How could you void your extreme debt? There is no more reliable way than gambling👌. Or is it?

Gameplay-wise, you play against machine, together placing card in one sequence. And there is always a chance to be completely screwed up by single card.

This was a fun little card game! I tried to play without the tutorial (huge mistake), and I was able to get the hang of it pretty quickly after reading it. The bear and bee with axe cards were absolutely hilarious!

I couldn't actually figure out why I was winning, but I essentially just focused on making combos to have the points to up. I think adding more interactions between cards (like bug spray, alarm) could add a lot of depth. Right now it seems like whoever goes second has the advantage, because you can just disrupt the opponent on the last turn (by stealing their axe for example). Adding more complex interactions could mix it up (like if the axe is between two bug sprays, I definitely don't want to put a bee down). Nice job overall!

Great game! The system was easy to pick up on and felt intuitive for me. Coming from someone who doesn't play these kinds of games and is honestly kinda confused by card games, this is great. SFX was neat and animations + gameplay felt satisfying. I am officially out of debt now. Good job on this!

Creative take on a card-based challenge, and the art and sound design really catches attention. With some additional polish and expanded content, this game has the potential to become even more than a nice jam entry. Great job!

Oh man, this is nicely built, the first time playing is confusing and then there's fascination !

Some QoL improvements here and there like being able to see the board when choosing cards to play, but overall, I wish you'd expand on the idea with more cards and more interactions :)

Loved seeing the bear wield the axe, wished he could have more hahaha

I couldn't play the game as it goes black and blinks; I didn't figure out how to play. Is it part of the gameplay? Help me, please.

Game utilize WebGPU technology and some browsers like firefox have partial compatibility or no compatibility at all. Try playing it in Chrome or desktop version

Submitted

I'm on Chrome 133.0.6943.128 on MacOS 15.3.1

Developer(+1)

If you have other browsers, you can try from those. Otherwise I don’t think I can do anything. WebGPU exists for a long time, but web itself isn’t progressing much. WebGL2 is an old technology but it got full compatibility only in (~2022?).

I'll give another try tonight!

In the beginning, I was a bit confused but when I understood, I enjoyed the game :)

Nice game, I like the way the cards interact with each other, unfortunately there are not many cards so the game becomes repetitive after a while. Overall, he plays with potential for development

Developer

Thanks for playing and review! There was a mechanics with card deck building, but that was too much for one week

Nice game! A little hard to understand the controls at first, but really enjoyed it once I got the hang of them.

One of the most fun game I played in the jam simple and addictive, mechanics is cool too. I can say I have successfully paid finish my debt. Tho I wish if the game start of with less cards then as you progress more and more new cards start getting mixing in the pool. Cause I enter the game as was like hella confuse figuring out what cards does wat and how to use it.  And I wish if possible to be able to like swap out at least one card from my hand cause I keep getting screwed with me having alarms and the opponent having zombies. I know gameplay wise as mention it is to fit the theme but screw rng man haha.

Developer

Thanks for playing and review!)

I left one debug feature on. You can spawn cards in hand on 'T' and despawn on 'Y'. I guess you can control cards with that)

But yeah, game lacks progressive start or tutorial.

It took me a few reads to understand but damn man
The music is catchy
The gameplay (especially when cheating by change hands XD) is fire
Tbh, idk why, but that it is literally one of the games I enjoyed the most here

One thing, the movement was a bit laggy, but it was alright

So ye, thanks for it, for this banger of a song and welp, great job!

I broke cards movement animation in the last patch 😂 I don't even know how

I'm not sure that I got all the rules correctly, cause I lost more then won.

😁
That's ok) Game really needs a tutorial. I just didn't manage to do it in time.

Loved the dynamic of the game, fast pace and this was also something new. Haven't seen this kind of a gameplay with cards before. Also it was great to see real drawings not just ready made assets.

I sincerely think you are on to an amazing idea that needs to keep cooking. It was so interesting having to counter-play based on card position. Great work for 1 dev, and I hope you continue to experiment with this idea ^_^. Also loved the dingy aesthetic and the fact that sprites updated when they got things such as the axe.

Very cool game, I like how smooth and polished you guys have done with the game even it have the ordinary mechanic!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and review)

Initially 2 mechanics was planned (with deck building, obtaining cards in mechanical game in table) but I didn't manage to complete it in time.

Made it solo.

yeah that's even more impressive!

Very nice game! I took a little time to figure out how it works, but I liked it.

Love a unique card-based game! It was surprisingly easy to pick up and fun to play around with the different assortments of cards you can draw! I would love to see a version of this game with even more cards, or maybe even a deckbuilder mode!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and review!

Initially the plan was to have a "open"-world map simulated by mechanism in the table. Card's is a punch cards (like in first IBMs) And you could interact with this world by placing cards in slots. For example, you could place axe card in tree slot and get tree card. Or by chopping down tree with bees get a bee card, ets.

Unfortunately that was too much for one week)

Submitted(+1)

that's a really cool concept! You should definitely take it further if you have the time!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I don't know. I still feel like I just stole inscryption(
