How does the game fit the theme?
As the game goes on you have more and more that you need to keep track off, such as package delivery order, making sure you don't block your own path and remembering to get more packages at the post office. If any of these things go wrong you lose.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The Font and the Music, they are credited in game

Love the idea! Would love to see future versions with a more detailed FAQ or a tutorial.
Thanks!
Lovin' all the puzzle games this jam! This one is no exception! However, the How to Play does a terrible job of actually teaching you how to play the game. I snuck a peak at the comments before starting and it made a lot more sense, but it really needed some more in there. While the art was good, the readability needs some improvement. Either the mailboxes need to be way more noticeable, or the houses themselves need to be decorated in a way that communicates what they want. These issues aside, I had a pretty good time with this, and even made it far enough to earn 568 points! Trying to not retrace your steps on the map you made was challenging, but never felt impossible. A solid balance you've found here, and one I could likely get lost in if I'm not careful!
Loved the gameplay, but the UI could use a touch or two more. Nice work!
Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed it enough to get that far too, that's awesome!
When we get around to the post-jam version we'll definitely focus on making the mechanics clearer for sure as that is the main point of criticism. The UI was added very last minute too so that will also get more thought put into it later.
Thanks again for the comment, very constructive and helpful!
The controls took a minute to get used to, but I love the concept!
I think I'm not understanding how the game works, as I keep losing on the second level even though I feel like I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing. For example I had to deliver a red package and a blue package, so I tossed the red package and walked to the blue package house, but the game still tells me I'm fired. I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong...
Regardless, I really liked the planning stage of the first and second level :) wish I could have played more!
The blue building is actually the post office where you can get packages u cant carry later on. I totally get the confusion though, the house colors are in the mailboxes and that's the only houses you can deliver to.
Thanks so much for playing the game and for the feedback!
Ohhhh I am a fool haha
Very good concept, I had a great time playing this game, and it seems like you created procedural levels or at least a lot of them, which makes it very interesting. It's always fun to retry. I really enjoyed it when I had a lot of packages to deliver and couldn't take the same path I had taken before. Nice submission!
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The only thing in the level that is randomized are the colors of the mailbox, the placement of everything is the same. I liked this approach because it still gives us some control over the level design while having a lot of variability each time you play! (Although admittedly the map was pretty rushed and could definitely be better, but I still think it's fun enough for the game jam)
Really enjoyed my time with this game!
I'm glad, thanks!
I had a lot of fun playing as the jittery rabbit postman - it’s such a charming concept! I enjoyed the mental workout of plotting my path, even if the controls took a minute to get used to. A bit more in-game guidance would have made the learning curve smoother, but overall, it’s a delightfully quirky delivery challenge! Well-done!
Thank you very much for the feedback :D
Good work!
how about adding redo move selection by right mouse? sometime I click wrong or I want to find out the best path
That's a good idea, thanks!
Really fun concept! Great job!
Thanks!
Really nice art style and overall vibe. I liked how the pathing made it more like a puzzle game as you can't retrace your steps. Made me think that'd work well on mobile with additions like moving obstacles etc. Especially if you were laying out your track as you were going.
Like some of the comments I found it a bit tough to get the hang of, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Neat idea!
Thank you very much for the feedback!
Yeah took a while to get the hang of it, but once i figured it out (and consulted the comments), it was a pleasant experience! formed a new passion for mail delivery.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
I enjoyed your game but I have hard time understanding it. At first I draw a th from the character to the package icon on the top left of the screen. Then after a few tries, I understand that the map is bigger and that i can scroll around. About the deliveries I'm still confused about what to do. Does the mansion have to have a rectangle AND a mail box of the same color of the package? Or just the rectangle matters? I finally red the web page but still I set a path and still loose, I must miss something. I'll give it another try! I used to play "Paper Boy" on NES when I was a kid so it remembers me it, even if the gameplay is absolutely not the same but it's about delivery :)
Thank you so much for playing our game! Yes, you have to deliver the packages in your inventory on the top left to a house with a mailbox matching the color of the package! it doesnt matter the order of delivery as long as you get it delivered and you have to plan the path to deliver all the packages! You can only carry 3 at a time, so when you start getting more packages (they appear smaller below the packages in your inventory) it means you have to stop by a post office when you free up some space in your inventory to deliver them!
We didnt have time to make a proper tutorial, but in a post game version we'll make sure to explain the mechanics better in game.
Oops we replied at the same time hehe
Thanks for the comment, the color of the square in front of the houses actually doesn't matter at all, I was actually going to have it match the color of the mailbox but kind of ran out of time in the jam and prioritized other things. But yeah to deliver packages you have to match the color of at least 1 package you're carrying (shown on the top left) to the mailbox of a house.
Thanks for playing our game and, again, for the comment :)
Really cute and polished game! Nice puzzle mechanic and cool to see how much you have managed to make. I had a lot of trouble understanding exactly what to do in the beginning, and I think it would have helped me a lot to get eased into the mechanics more gradually somehow. As you have already mentioned, a tutorial would be great for this game. Amazing job overall!
Thank you very much, yeah the confusion of the mechanics seems to be the main criticism from people. Very useful to know, thanks so much for the comment!
Cool concept! Nice puzzle game :) I really liked the pretty visuals, and the path-drawing mechanics!
One suggestion I would have is to make the color-system more clear somehow. I couldn't really figure out, why the packages weren't getting delivered to the houses I went to. It seems like it was related to whether the color of the package matches the house, but I never really figured it out :D
Yeah for sure we need a better tutorial haha
And yeah you have to match the package colors to the mailbox colors, we should've made that clearer.
Still glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
Love it!
Glad to hear! Thanks for the comment!
I really like the art, interesting idea
Thank you!
Neat little casual path drawing game. Enjoyed it, especially the music. I'd appreciate if you checked out my submission as well. :)
Thanks!
Art was nice for this. Really oozed style for sure. I think the UI could use more work and visual guidance for the game. good audio selection.
Yeah for sure the UI was one of the last things we did any work on so it's more on the rougher side.
Really glad you enjoyed the style though, thanks for the comment!
Nice and sillly game, it's the kind of puzzle game that makes you wanna keep trying to sort of prove to yourself, "I'm not dumb I can totally do it." I really like the bunny design! I will say, there were a lot of controls on the control screen, it overwhelmed me a tad. Overall the art is great, the gameplay was fun, and the music was pretty good. :>
Thank you, we appreciate it!
Yeah, a playable tutorial would definitely be really helpful for the controls and that's probably what we'll do when we make a post-jam version.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the feeling of figuring things out, thanks again for the comment :D
nice game, good art and idea!
Thanks!
Nice art and neat idea! I would find it really helpful if I could use WASD or arrow keys to plot the path of the mailman instead of the mouse, because I kept messing up with the mouse on the grid.
Thanks for the suggestion, we'll definitely be including that on the post-jam version!
Thanks for leaving a comment too :D
