Seems like a fun game that you can play for a while.
Just didn't have enough time. Doesn't really fit the theme tho.
Played it live on: https://www.twitch.tv/fireswordstudios
We really loosely followed the theme, but we know the connection is spurious at best. We figured "giving people access to the country".
Thanks for playing!
So stressful! As other people said, very like Papers Please. I was so eager not to make mistakes but the way the music built up the pressure was just brilliant!
As the member of our team that did the majority of the balancing and music, it's great to hear that it was stressful - it's what we were aiming for. We were heavily inspired by Papers Please, mostly because we've done jams before and quick game design is really our weak point. Thanks for playing!
As I don't have 7zip I didn't play the Windows version, but the android one is really good! I like the concept, although that might just be because I love Papers, Please so much.
It's impressive that you managed to complete this in 48 hours, but I think you stuck too close to your inspiration. Again, amazing that you created such a high quality game in a short amount of time, and I love the art!
We will agree with you, we do think it was maybe a little too close to our source of inspiration, but we're fairly content to let it slide since this we wanted to avoid designing new mechanics as much as possible.
Thanks for playing!
Very papers please-esque, good game for 48 hours
Thanks for playing! Papers Please was the inspiration for our project, so we're glad to hear that we've captured that quite well
So many things to watch out for, so little time! Great game, absolutely adore the pixel art.
Had a lot of fun playing, well done!
Cheers for playing! I'll pass your regards onto our artist, I think he did a really good job on it all
Have to fast and accurate AND have a quota! Explains a lot about how airports are run! Good job on this one!
We tried our best to make it difficult, but not too hard. Turns out that was harder than we thought, so there's always the difficulty slider in the options menu. Thanks for playing!
Very paper please, love that it's Manchester airport though. I got quite confused at first that it was 2010. Enjoyed playing
Thanks for playing! We realised that the date this is a bit off-putting during our extended playtest, but that was after the deadline. If there's further development, we might point that out in an interactive tutorial
Oh my lord this is amazing
Thanks for playing! It's our fourth (I think) jam, so we have a little bit of an experience advantage, although that's not to say we weren't panicking in the last 20 minutes
lol i hear that
Very Paper Please-esque experience, well made for the short time frame. Could have used a bit more feedback on whether you did each evaluation correctly or not (I got fired by the end of the first shift, so that means I did something wrong?) :D
Cheers! We drew a lot of inspiration from Papers Please, so we're happy to hear that it feels similar. I did want to add an evaluation, maybe a list of the people you evaluated wrongly at the end, but I ran out of time given I was doing programming, and music, and some extra little bits like the box art .
Regardless, thanks for playing!
cool game, i liked the inclusion of the passport scanner
The passport scanner was a last minute inclusion, being honest. We noticed we could get a cool effect with the Layer Mask tool in Unity so we thought "why not?" We will admit, however, that the security seals are quite hard to pick apart. Thanks for playing!
good little spin off from papers please, well done! got a little confused if the images had to look exactly like the person (colour of the top included) but other than that well done!
Thanks! It was a lot of fun trying to emulate Papers Please without making it a blatant copy. The images were meant to change a little bit, but we had to remove that because we didn't have enough variety in the sprites. Cheers for playing!
very cool its awesome that you made it run on mobile too well done
if you could check out our game id appreciate it!

thank you
Thanks for the feedback! The mobile port was something of a last minute decision, so it's a little bit shaky, but we like how it came out. We'll be sure to check out and rate your game too
This is amazing. The passport checking system is great, I could feel the tension when my shift was nearing completion and I still had to check 4 more people. I feel this game has potential to become a pretty nice commercial game in the future. Fantastic job.
Thanks! We had a lot of fun making it, and we're glad to hear that it creates the level of tension we were going for. We don't know if we'll continue work on it, but we might push a few more updates after the jam is done. Thanks for playing!
Error 0x80004005 Unspecified Error for everything.
Which platform are you on? It might be a bug we didn't pick up in testing
Win10
Use 7Zip to extract it.
I was thinking about that, but it was the last game I tried, and I went to bed. I'll see if that works.
It does work, because I had the same problem.
And indeed, that worked! Thank you!
Great game!
Feel free to check out my game : https://mark-auman.itch.io/give-and-you-shall-receive
Thanks for playing! We'll be sure to check and rate your game
i like it, but not good at the actual game. Great job anyway.
We think we maybe made the game a bit hard by default in retrospect, but thanks for sticking with it and playing anyway!
Feels like the real deal. Great job.
Thanks! We've all spent a fair bit of time in Manchester Airport over the years, so we figured it was the perfect setting since we know roughly what they check for. Thanks for playing!
Really makes you feel like youre in manchester airport.
We based it as much as possible on our own experiences with Manchester Airport, which is a lot of delays in security. Thanks for playing!
Top tier Northern Entertainment.
We might have to dispute that Manchester is in the North. It's more of a little Microchosm of hell, having lived there long enough, but that's beside the point. Thanks for playing!
