How does your game utilize the limitation and theme?
I tried to be as out of the box as possible. The limitation was collectables, and so I made the player collect coins in order to complete the levels. The theme was "there and back" and I did my best to utilize this theme. I made it so that the player will spawn in the normal world and collect coins. After they collect all of the coins in the normal world, they will need to go to the Other World (there), then go back to the start of the level in that world (back) in order to go back to the normal world (a.k.a the next level). This is how the game loop mainly works.

Creative use of the theme! This game is tough but very enjoyable. I really like the glitch effect when you complete the first half of the level. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you :D

hahaha great job! Last level was hard for me but I completed all the levels.

I think the penguin drank cofee  HAHAHHA

Great Pixel art!

Great music!

Great game!

5/5 FULL STARS

I'd love to play more levels :D

Check out my game and tell me what you think !

Thanks for the overwhelmingly positive feedback!

I loved the penguin but I found this pretty frustrating :'( the controls were so sensitive you can't help but play at the speed of light, and when you die on the way back you have to start the level again, honestly, it sounds like a great idea but I found it really hard. Well done though!

No worries, I plan to make the levels a bit easier in the future (I even found it quite hard myself).

But eitherway, thanks for playing!

I think the art is super cute and everything fits together so nicely (especially the hearts on the ground texture!) I personally like how fast the game is, but one thing that made me lose a few times is the penguin not being able to jump on any platforms after falling onto the ground. Overall, super cute and nice game! If you have the time, I'd appreciate it if you also played my game!

Thanks for the feedback :) And don’t worry I’ll also play your game!

I really enjoyed this.

Simple, but difficult.
Cute art, and the sounds and music fit perfectly.

However...
-The movement controls are great, you just need a smidge of acceleration at the start up of your motion. I was basically pressing jump and move at the exact same time in order to make some of the jumps. Stopping the moment I let go of the button is great for control, but starting the moment I touch the button is a little jarring.
-Some of the pits can't be escaped from if you fall in, so you just bounce til you die.
-Some of the ranges enemies would fire while I was jumping at them because they were in the walking path. Some indication of how long it'll be til they fire again would be really helpful.

All in all,
Loved the game, loved the concept, just had a couple frustrations that I'm sure would have been caught if you had more time.

Thanks for the feedback! This is really informative as well, so thanks for that :)

I really loved the art style and it is very moody (music transition is a bit violent for ears), the controls were very fast it was not easy but very reactive,
Good job overall and good take on the theme too!

That penguin is so cute :)

I really liked the aesthetic and your interpretation of the theme and it feels well built. I would also make it a little less fast paced, since it's kinda hard to control your character which encourages you (or me at least) to just brute force try to hold-jump your way through.. great game nontheless!

Thanks for the feedback! :)

Looking back at this game the main problem was mostly the difficulty. In a future update I might make it a little less fast paced. But eitherway thank you for playing my game!

Nice game!, loved the music twist at the return time, pretty nice visual effects!

-It's very difficult, the first level is just too long (for me at least).

Overall a pretty good game, and I liked your interpretation of the theme.
