thank you so much for the kind words! i completely agree, and that’ll be one of the first new features i add.

My approach would be to have a cone-shaped trigger attached to the vacuum (I guess it would be a mesh collider on a custom cone mesh). You could use OnTriggerEnter and OnTriggerExit to keep track of which game objects are inside the cone, and then if the button is held down all the entities inside the cone get moved towards the player.

thank you! i’m glad you enjoyed it.

Creative use of the theme! This game is tough but very enjoyable. I really like the glitch effect when you complete the first half of the level. Nice work!

Beautiful art and design. Just needs some audio and it’d be perfect! Fantastic work.

Beautiful juicy graphics and music, and engaging gameplay. Really nice work!

The aliens are adorable, I don’t mind if they want to eat the moon! Funny game with a unique concept. It’d be cool if the aliens got sucked towards the vacuum cleaner, I imagine it’d feel a little like luigi’s mansion. Nice work!

I like the aesthetic of this game. The controls are a little tough to handle, I often found myself overshooting letters because I held the key down for too long. Despite that, I enjoyed the game. Nice work!

All good ideas, thanks! And, yeah, I usually struggle with the opposite problem as well. Something about this game just lent itself to being really easy this time. :D

I agree, I would have liked to put some hints in-game as to what you’re meant to do. I’m glad you liked it!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I completely agree that the reversing takes too long, unfortunately the submissions closed right before I was able to upload a new build with the a time limit on the animation. It is definitely too easy as well, I was having trouble thinking of ways to make the hazards harder to avoid. Perhaps spawning several of them at once and having them move around would be a better challenge. Thanks again for the comment!

Absolutely will do! Gonna spend some time this weekend checking out jam entries. :)

It is a bit like assembling a weird barbeque skewer. :D Glad you enjoyed the music and the reverse effect, it’s the first time I’ve tried to make my own music for a game. Thank you for the kind words!

Thanks for the comment! I agree it’s a little mysterious at the moment. I wanted to put in some subtle nudges in-game as to what was going on, but unfortunately ran out of time. I’m glad you found it enjoyable. :)

Yeah, I was literally half way through exporting a new build when the submissions closed. I had implemented a maximum time on the return phase, but unfortunately left it a little too late. Ah well, jam game. :) Thanks for the kind words!

i’m glad you like it! this is my first time really attempting to make the art myself instead of using an asset pack, so I’m happy you think it came out decently. i still have a lot to learn when it comes to making sprites. thanks!

thanks for the comment!

Great work! This is a really cool game. Would definitely enjoy seeing more of this after the jam, if you are still interested in working on it. Lots of space for more unit & building types here. Good job on the submission!

Nice clean implementation of a logic simulator puzzle game. Good job on the submission!

That was really nice! I played it through a few times making different choices. Very unique and interesting submission, great work!

thanks! i’m glad you enjoyed it.

Absolutely true - after you’ve been playtesting your game for a while you become an expert at it! Great job again.

thanks for the comment! i’m glad you had fun with it. i would definitely like to expand on the enemy types and possibly add boss fights of some sort too!

Nice! I look forward to seeing what you make next. :)

Difficult controls aside I really like how this game looks and the idea is pretty cool. Nice work on the submission! I’d like to see a version of this with tighter platforming controls for sure. :)

Nice work! Fun sokoban game with a robotic twist. I also kept dying on the laser level and wasn’t able to figure out how to avoid it before I read your reply to maybell’s comment. Good job on the submission!

This game has an interesting concept and it looks really nice! It did unfortunately run very slowly on my machine, not sure what’s going on there. I still played for a bit and enjoyed it. The trail effect on the gears is cool. Nice work on the submission!

I like your concept for this game! The idea of having to manage a complicated bit of machinery is really cool. I’d like to see more of this with additional controls and bits to fiddle with. Nice work with translating the game, that’s rare to see in a jam. Good job on the submission!

Nice project!

I tried making a little program that would double a number entered by the user but I couldn’t seem to get it to work. I might be misunderstanding how load & store instructions work. One nice feature would be to reset the state after running so you can go back and edit your program rather than having to enter it again each time.

As an aside, I would highly recommend building your project to an executable file so that more people can test it. Not everyone has Visual Studio or is willing to compile a program to test it. Regardless, I did compile it, and this is pretty cool!

Nice work on the submission!

Fun programming game. The subroutine feature is a nice touch. Good work on the submission!

you’re too kind! i rate this comment 7/7.

I did it! … in 374 seconds :D Really nice work. I know very little about chemistry, but I had a good time with this. I think you could do a lot with this mechanic! Nice job on the submission.

Cool game! The wall jumping is quite tricky, and I think the camera movement can be a little over the top. I like what you did with the light mechanic. Nice work on the submission!

This is a promising start for a game! Movement feels good and the artwork is nice. I like the shadows a lot. Do you think you’ll continue work on this after the jam?
