The idea that you can only carry one thing at a time, and that there are mouths to feed is a nice mechanic. The game really needs some sound effects and music. Generally, I think the art needs better color theory and and tone. The color of the grass is too saturated and needs to be changed as it's too similar of a color to the player.
An all round good effort and I hope you both keep at it and make more stuff.
Cool game. I played all the way through with 122 pts! I wish there was an upgrade system to be able to hold more items however. I wanted to explore farther and farther but there was no point to go too far. Other than that, the game is great!
Fun but way too easy. The theme and mechanics and visuals are great I just wish there was more to do and that maybe the difficulty would scale each day. This could be things like some kind of enemy that you could still kill for food but would charge you down instead of running away, more uses for the resources like maybe making upgrades (bag to carry two items or a torch to make the day last a little longer), or even resources appearing less often in areas you cleared out the day before making you go further and in different directions.
Hey, I did a video review of your game.
Wow, thanks! Looking forward for more videos on your channel!
no worries
I've spent a lot of days in the game! 😄 It is fun and addicting! Great work!
Thanks!
+ Fun to play
+ Liked the mechanics
+ Was just thinking that I wished the deer moved, and then they did! I like that!
+ I completed it with loads of resources remaining and was never hungry
- Maybe a little easy? After day 5 I had unlocked my whole family and had enough food that I could just skip every day!
- I think that it needs more things to collect, like water etc? And maybe make it harder to collect things, like the player has to click multiple times to get wood/stone until they craft an axe or a pickaxe, and then the number of clicks is reduced
- It might be worthwhile adding in other mechanics, like heat (needs wood for a fire), or an enemy that chases you
Thank you for the detailed feedback!
This was a very interesting submission! Collecting supplies for a family was a very good idea and one I don't think I saw so far. I thought was simple and cute (perfect for a jam submission). Not sure if it was just me, but I couldn't hear any music. However, it was fun and entertained me for some time. Great submission.

Thank you for your feedback! I didn't have enough time for music, but I'll try to make it for the other jam!
It is very engaging!! good job!!
Thank you!
Nice game, i think the game design is really cool and it could potentially become a very interesting game. In the actual version i dont see the point of increasing your family members, but overall it is a great game
Feel free to check out my game, it will mean a lot to me
Thank you for the feedback! The only point in making the family bigger was the final points.
I liked the simplicity of the game and how well it got the theme. Even the minimalistic graphics fit in. Nice work.
For me the only part I disliked was the control with the mouse button. For me it would have been more intuitiv to just press space to collect/drop
Thanks!
I'd definitely play this if it were fleshed out more! Aside from the things that other people have already mentioned, I think it would be nice if the font were something a little easier to read. Other than that, I think the management aspect of the game was really fun! If you have the time, I'd appreciate it if you also played my game!
Thank you for the feedback!
Its a fun game once you get into it, though it took a while for me to get into the swing of it as the first few days could get a bit repetitive. But once the animals start popping up, oh boy was I ready to start a family. The grass was a bit odd as you could see where it was cut off, and some music or SFX would've made the game feel more engaging, but still an amazing game nonetheless!
Thank you! You're right, sound and seamless grass would improve the game a bit.
81 points :D it was kind of repetitive but then it started to kick in: I need food, but first collect a lot of wood and stone so I can collect a lot of spears so I can collect a lot of meat! Then I made a huge family and wondered: Was it all worth it, because now I need to provide 5 food every day, but than again it made me collect that much spears to win this game and I liked it :D
A few notes: when going sideways, the character goes faster, this is due to not using .Normalized on the movement, I would think, not sure if you know about that or because of the time limit.
The grass was noticably tiled, which was made up of tiles, this could have been prevented if it was made seamless, but all in all it didn't bother that muich but just a few improvements :D
You did very good! :D
Thank you for the detailed answer! I know about .normalized(), but sadly, forgot to use it. I've also noticed repeating pattern on the grass, definitely something to avoid next time!
Nice and simple game! the UI could use some work but other than that pretty good! great job!
It would mean a lot if you could check out my Jam submission if you get the chance. Thanks!
Thanks! Checked and rated your submission, pretty good game!
