Crazy unique, love the vibes... also, FMV sock puppets! What more is there to say?!?!?!
I did not expect the puppet-based dice game to have such a good atmosphere, that nightmare town was such a genius idea. Really really fun time! The gameplay was surprisingly engaging for how simple it looks at first, the writing is so good, and of course, amazing presentation!
So creative to use real world static images with added elements (like DSD's place) and video of puppets! & really smart to have a streamer mode.
As someone who has never Farkled or Yahtzeed, all I can say is I had way too much fun lol. The mix of real world elements and stuff like the Pastoriche graffiti or mountains of trash bags evoked a lot of feelings of 90s adventure gaming which I appreciate a lot. The FMVs were too funny, I love the design of Orchk so much, and the depiction of Boyhowdy had me cracking up. The deck builder element was a great surprise, I went heavy hit for most of the game and it felt so satisfying getting the right dice.
Love the vibe of this game! I showed this to my friend who makes sock puppets for a living and she's in love with this! The designs were translated into sock form so well! Oh and the DSD dialogue is hilarious!
She makes sock puppets for a living??? lol sign me up!
Thanks for the kind words, we really appreciate it :)
Yup, she's won a bunch of awards too.
She's been begging me to make her a sock puppet game for years! Now I'm never gonna hear the end of it XD
haha go for it! the world needs more puppet games. Gotta get in on the craze before Felt That Boxing comes out!
XD No competing with that!
Deckbuilding sparkle is extremely my jam. Love unlocking new perks and adding dice to the bag. The FMV puppets are so sick!
The mouse was a mouse! Cute UI.
Simply amazing! The effort on show here is bananas. Obviously the visuals are out of this world but also the actual game play is super fun too. Its really interesting to see all the different builds you can aim for and how certain combinations can become super OP.
What a crazy, unique experience this game is! The FMV puppets and real-world map is a fascinating creative choice that works so well to create an unsettling yet charming, dream-like atmosphere. Backed up by an engaging battle-dice game and great writing.
Awesome game! That town is huge and fun to explore, but the green fog was quite chilly... I can't believe all of the hand-made characters that got into the game. I was dedicated to the Heavy Hitter path after the first fight and wanted to find everyone to quench my thirst for power. Also, I can really appreciate the moral of the story at the end.
Incredible, loved the vibes and the puppets looked really good, also found the dialogue to be pretty great.
Never thought I would be playing a game of battle Yahtzee! Love the puppets and the music. It really added a lot to have the deck builder component.
Farkle was the original inspiration! But I've been told farkle is pretty much Yahtzee, so yahtzee it is!
That's a super charming game! The custom puppets are so good, and I also really enjoyed the writing, the simple game mechanics and the upgrades. I struggled a bit navigating around and hitting all the arrows, but I suppose that's just part of the nightmare (and the 90's point-and-click charm). It looks like y'all had fun making it, and it comes across in the game.
I assure the struggle in navigation was of course intentional. I'm glad you picked up on it haha
Thanks for the kind words! We had a lot of fun making those puppets.
