Thanks! I'm pretty happy with how the Foozloo dream turned out, despite being the simplest in terms of art.

Thank you so much! The original pitch was a single-room metroidvania, which eventually evolved into a multi-dream puzzle game. We tried to make the dreams' layouts be based on the real-world room to further the connection.

Jims has definitely become our mascot. They're an easy character to just fit in wherever needed. I'm really happy to see everyone recognize them when they show up.

Your games are always so charming and delightful to play! I really enjoyed the environment and unique sequences in this one. Lots of fun little details when interacting with all the different objects in the game, too.

This is a very well-designed dungeon crawler! I really liked how the dungeon was laid out along with the quests and some puzzles that incentivized exploration. Your writing did a great job at selling the environment and the story that kept me engaged throughout. Awesome job!

I'm impressed by how many unique cards you were able to design, draw, and implement in the span of the jam. And all 8 Skremplets with unique abilities on top! I also loved the special reference deck with all the past jam characters. Great work!

Thank you so much! This was the first time we asked for outside help on art because we wanted so many styles. This was also the first year Handstandish did a significant amount of animations, and I also think they turned out great.

Thanks! Lanceolate, the musician, was adamant that we implement a system to fade between the tracks naturally. So, all the tracks are playing in the background and we fade between them as you enter/exit the nightmares.

Jims almost didn't make it in. His original section was cut, and then at the very end I remembered the Elephant award and got him in there.

Mixing a tactics game with an autobattler is a cool idea! While tough to get a handle of the controls and mechanics at first, by the end I started to understand what was going on with the cards and tug of war battles. I would love to see a list of all the abilities and how they interact!

What a crazy, unique experience this game is! The FMV puppets and real-world map is a fascinating creative choice that works so well to create an unsettling yet charming, dream-like atmosphere. Backed up by an engaging battle-dice game and great writing.

That would be a great segment in the postmortem!

Y'all really nailed it this year with this is incredibly impressive submission! As someone who just got into 3D art earlier this year I am stunned by the amount and detail of all the 3D models & animation. The platforming and level design is also very solid. The mechanic of unlocking level traversal objects rather than abilities is surprisingly novel. My only nitpick would be to have an inverted camera controls option for weirdos like myself.

This was a really great take on the documentary-game genre(?). Fantastic presentation all around!

A very faithful pack-cracking game. All the art here is unreal!

This was a joy to play through. I am incredibly impressed by how many original Skremplets you were able to design and draw and make unique moves for in such a limited time span. The game is very long...but was worth playing through to end to see everything.

This was a great time. I loved all the Skremplet designs and the mix of platforming and point n' click. Very solid job overall!

It's pretty interesting to make a platformer where you can't jump. It works surprisingly well! It definitely would be nice to have some sort of visual/audio cue for the timing on the rebounds, though.

Haha thanks! I'm glad it's resonating with you so well. This is the first year we had to bring on multiple artists to get all the different art styles. I even wrangled my sister in to do the water color art for Gretchen's dream. She hand painted and scanned them in.

I had a great time playing this! The platforming is tight, controls really well, and is super polished. The sword mechanic is very unique, cool, and works well. I can't believe the amount of world building you fit into such a tiny package. It really feels like there's a bigger world out there while we're stuck in this dark mine. I want to know more about all the characters!

Super cute pixel art of so many Skremplets! The opening section of building your party and getting equipment was great. The end dungeons and puzzles were a bit too long, though.

Another Balbod banger in the books! Your games are a consistent highlight for me every year. Amazing 3D models and animation, great cast of voice acting, and pure, simple, fun gameplay. Loved the writing and all the references, too.

Really solid collection of minigames. I'm impressed with how polished they all are! I went for all stars in about half the games. I liked the maze game the most.

1.1 Update

We have closed the gallery server and added all the uploaded sculptures to the game locally to be preserved.

Okay, I believe I've found and fixed the issue. Please give it another try when you've got the time!

Thank you so much! That really means a lot. I'm glad my writing has come across so positively, and owe a lot to Handstandish for his art & character designs.

So sorry about the bug! One other person has reported that but I haven't been able to reproduce it myself so I still haven't fixed it.

What's here is really solid. Great animations, battle mechanics, and writing. Would have loved to see more.

The environments and level design here are seriously top notch. Nice, tight controls too. Had a blast playing it!

In awe at the scale of this game! The server deletion and ensuing boss fight were highlights. Loved it!

I actually teach a Scratch class here in Japan. So, seeing a submission made in Scratch is super cool! I'm impressed by all the different types of games you were able to make.

What a hectic time! Felt virtually impossible at first, but eventually got through it (mostly using lots of cold chicken at the start). A very unique take that paid off.

1.06 Update

Fixed a bug with the resubmit button.

Alright, I was able to find and fix the issue, and have updated the game with the fix. Thank you for the report and sorry for the inconvenience!

So much fun! I love how the upgrades appeared visually on the character when using them.

Thanks! Yeah, I knew there had to be some sort of driving force to the player's sculptures. Even if it ended up being fully scripted.

It looks like your submissions didn't make it to the server. You can try resubmitting them on the title screen if you want.

Thanks! I'm not sure if the programming is as impressive as everyone seems to think, but I'll go over it in the post-mortems. I also think Handstandish did a great job on the characters this year.

Also, it looks like your submissions didn't make it to the server. You can try resubmitting them on the title screen if you want.
Edit: Turns out the resubmit button was broken. So, you'll also have to download the updated build. Sorry for the inconvenience!

The game feel here is off the charts. One of the most pure fun games of the jam.

I loved the level design and the Disk 2 twist!

Dang! Sorry about that! I'll see if I can figure out why that happened.

Wow! This really ticked all the boxes of 'things in RPGs that I love'. You came up with a legitimately new, unique and interesting battle system and executed it well.

My favorite character was Taxxie, as her ult just generates more ults in a loop. It's crazy.
