Nice relaxing game ! Sometimes it was a bit hard to predict how everything would behave together but it wasn't too hard to solve the puzzles either. Having the same button reset and launch the curling ball would have been nice. Everything was well made. Congrats ! :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! And yeah that would be cool! Thanks for the suggestion! ^^

This game is a delight and a slick execution of the jam requirement and theme! One quality of life suggestion:  allow the user to simultaneously close all the info boxes by right-clicking on any blank area of the screen so the boxes don't block the action or make the screen look cluttered. (Or just have them disappear automatically like Bauke R. suggested.) It is a nuisance to close them all individually.  Also, although I love the music as much as I love the rest of the game, the two don't really seem to go together. I'd save the song for an Al Capone game and choose a more wintry, chill piece for The Curling Project. Congratulations on a well-constructed prize-worthy entry.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, the closing all boxes-thing is something I will 100% add in a maybe post-jam release of the game, it would indeed be just a quality-of-life update! And I know, I'm just terrible in music, I knew what I wanted for the game but I couldn't describe or find it, so I just went with this jazz-themed song because I thought, who doesn't like jazz :p, but yeah you're right on that, thanks for the feedback! ^^

This was a very fun game to play! The music and graphics were nice as well. I appreciate how the levels start off easy before progressively introducing new features over time. Well done!

Developer

Aww thanks for the nice comments! I appreciate it! ^^ And yeah I tried my best with the level design so I'm glad you liked it!

This game was fun! I wish there was an explanation of what the numbers mean for the different objects, but I was able to figure it out.

Developer

Thanks for playing! And yeah, I shouldve made that more clear, I forgot to add in the text for the water and things like that, just simply forgot,  I had it ready in the editor just didn't drag it in :( and yeah, maybe I shouldve also added that 0 is the most slippery with the ice and stuff, I'll be more clear with those things in my future games/maybe post-jam release of this game!

Lovely game and a great concept. Both the colour palette and the music are pleasing. It would be nice if the pop up boxes would disappear when I trigger a slide. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! ^^ And yeah, that's a good idea to add, thanks for the comment!

Very cool puzzle game! With a sizable number of levels too. I appreciated that the menu screen and the win screen both let you play with the physics a little bit. Makes the menus more interesting :). I would also have appreciated explanations of the new elements because for a bit I couldn't tell if a higher number meant more or less slippery for the ice. Also it seemed not to have much of an effect in the first one maybe two levels which confused me more (I think it had to do with that issue with inconsistent physics you mentioned in the discord).

Overall, really good job! If you're thinking about messing with it more in the future, it'd be super cool to have a level editor/sharing :P

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah I forgot to add the descriptions into the levels... I had all the text ready to be added in the editor but I simply forgot, it's a shame... And I noticed it too, but I think it's not because of inconsistent physics but just because the levels were poorly designed that it didn't really matter how slippery the ice was :P And yeah, I've been thinking about that too! Adding a level editor would make it so much more fun, i'll see if I have to motivation to add that :) Thanks for the feedback!

Beautiful! Good job, a unique puzzle game. Brought back memories of Incredible Machine. Credits would have been nice.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Ooh I never heard of that game before, it looks really cool! What a shame I didn't find that game earlier, sounds really fun to play! And what do you mean credits? Did I forget something, could be, I have the tendency to look over things but I'm not sure what you're talking about :/.. but yeah I hope you enjoyed my game! ^^

Saw this updated on discord every day. Good to see the final product turned out so well. Unique puzzle elements and challenging game play had me on this one for quite some time. Good job!

Cool game! Some small suggestions (e.g. more explanation for new physics elements), but overall a fun game which plays very smoothly, and is both challenging and looks impressive! Well done!

Developer

Aww thanks for the nice comments! Yeah, I forgot to explain what some of the things did, I had the text and all ready but I forgot to drag them into the scene... my bad :p but yeah, thanks for playing!
