Great game! It is so enjoyable to be able to immerse yourself into gameplay right from the start and focus on learning ho to play better :) Feels very comfortable and engaging! I sometimes feel like there is another moving pattern that I desperately need, but maybe I just haven't found it yet x)
The characters are cute and the game jam theme is so creatively implemented. I managed to collect 6 gems so far, will continue my attempts to beat it :D

Cool concept. Also when you die you get a different hero. Like that.
I liked the game a lot! I couldn't finish it but, it nails the theme and movement is fun. I think adding a deck and cost system will improve it even further.
I really like the interpretation of the theme yous came up with, a unique spin on the idea of player controls being broken. It's satisfying figuring out what combination of cards you can use to get where you want to go. It's a bit like a sprawling puzzle. I like that with each run I knew a bit more and acted differently accordingly. Audio and visuals all fit together really well, all around great execution!
Really nice work! The mechanics felt solid, and I liked the progression. Gathering new cards while losing them upon dying added a great layer of strategy.
I didn’t fully understand the symbols on the cards (?), but the movement system gave me a bit of a chess-like feeling, which was interesting. However, I wasn’t entirely sure how it tied into the "kaputt" theme... The simple and cute design worked well, and the music was a nice touch. However, the characters styles felt a bit disconnected from the overall paper-like aesthetic. Some tweaks could make the visuals even more cohesive. Overall, really nice game!

Symbols on cards represent the resistance of a character that you get if you flip that card. Unfortunately didn’t have time to make it more obvious so just dumped this info in the info screen for selecting new hero (see second screenshot). Should have put it somewhere more visible, haha!
“Kaputt” theme was interpreted as in “broken movement”, which breaks further throughout the adventure if you’re not careful enough (to the point where there is even no way to play properly further).
Anyway, happy to hear you liked the game!
I love this game so much, from the art to the music to the gameplay it's all unique and interesting.
