Really nice work! The mechanics felt solid, and I liked the progression. Gathering new cards while losing them upon dying added a great layer of strategy.

I didn’t fully understand the symbols on the cards (?), but the movement system gave me a bit of a chess-like feeling, which was interesting. However, I wasn’t entirely sure how it tied into the "kaputt" theme... The simple and cute design worked well, and the music was a nice touch. However, the characters styles felt a bit disconnected from the overall paper-like aesthetic. Some tweaks could make the visuals even more cohesive. Overall, really nice game!

Symbols on cards represent the resistance of a character that you get if you flip that card. Unfortunately didn’t have time to make it more obvious so just dumped this info in the info screen for selecting new hero (see second screenshot). Should have put it somewhere more visible, haha!

“Kaputt” theme was interpreted as in “broken movement”, which breaks further throughout the adventure if you’re not careful enough (to the point where there is even no way to play properly further).
