  • Peaceful and comforting. 10/10 art!

Which path did you choose?

Fresh Build

How does your game bring our theme, OUT OF TIME, to life?
OUT OF TIME is both the story and the core mechanic of our game.
You play as a Spacetime Agent sent to retrieve objects that don’t belong in their era—until a malfunction throws you into the wrong time and breaks your pocket watch. With limited time, players must identify and collect the true “out of time” item to complete the game.

What did you do to ensure accessibility of the game?
We ensured accessibility by releasing the game as a web build, allowing players to jump in easily without downloads or installation. The game also supports mobile devices, so players can enjoy it on both desktop and phones.

Did you include the Indieformer or Patch Notes logo somewhere in your game?

No

I can see a lot of care was put into the art! A short description of the goal would be good, to begin with I thought I had to find parts to fix the pocket watch in every level but eventually it clicked that I'm looking for things that don't belong. I don't normally play hidden object games, but I enjoyed this one.

If you feel like expanding on this game, moving scenes could be a way to add some challenge to later levels, something like a phone on a horse carriage going in and out of frame. Good job overall!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback! We’re really happy to hear that the care put into the art came through, and it’s great to know you enjoyed the game even if hidden object games aren’t usually your thing.

You’re absolutely right about the initial goal, a short description would definitely help clarify what players are looking for, so that’s a great suggestion we’ll keep in mind.

We also love your idea about moving scenes to add challenge in later levels, if we ever get the chance to expand on the game, that’s the kind of twist we’d love to explore.

Thanks again for taking the time to share such detailed and creative feedback :)

This is such a simple yet nice-looking game! The art is super impressive and consistent across the game, and the level designs are really nice too! I had a few giggles seeing some visual gags, such as the Victorian woman holding a hand fan, which actually makes a lot of sense if you think about it. It's sad to see the game end so quickly, but I don't think one can ask for too much in a game jam entry :(

Other things I like:

  • Simple and effective UI
  • Nice sound choice
  • Really polish overall

Suggestions:

  • Some explanation in the game (a single line of text would do) would be really nice, as people don't tend to read the itch page/manual before playing

There isn't much to criticise really, I think you've all done a really good job! Congrats!

Thank you so much for the incredibly thoughtful feedback! We’re really happy you enjoyed the art, level design, and all the small visual gags.

We also appreciate your kind words about the UI, sound choices, and overall polish. Hearing that means a lot to the team.

While our team tends to avoid adding too much text inside the game, your suggestion is a very good one. In the future, we’ll try to find a better balance between keeping things minimal and making the experience clearer for players.

Thanks again for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and encouragement, we truly appreciate it :D

Great work! It was very intuitive to know what to do.

I would have liked to know where the item I missed in the second stage was after the clock ran out.

The art and sound assets were very nice, and you did great incorporating the theme in multiple ways!

Thank you for the kind words! We're really glad the game felt intuitive to play, and that you enjoyed the art, sound, and how we incorporated the theme.

That’s a very good suggestion about the second stage, showing where the missed item was after time runs out would definitely help. If we get the chance to continue working on the game, we’ll be happy to add something like that in the future.

Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback! :D
