  • A nice market sim, with great responsive sound! Great work
  • Fun resource management game with an appropriately glitchy economy and great soundtrack!

How does your game bring our theme, The Error is the Feature, to life?
Each market trade yields diminishing profit; repeat it enough and the counters overflow into negatives (like Mario’s health). Exploiting this bug lets you stockpile resources and hit an otherwise unreachable narrative goal on time

Satisfying game tbh with juicy sound design/transitions and charming pixel art. I loved the art, seriously.

While the core loop takes a moment to reveal itself, the moment it clicks (no pun intended), it's hard to stop.

Well polished game. I love the sound effect designs. The music is fun, but for me it got a bit stale after some minutes.

The arts is pretty nice, but for the style of idle/clicker games I would love to more movement and animations happening on the screen and not just some UI elements. Of course it's a bit of a hard ask for 3 days, but it's definitely something I would want to see if you guys update the game.

Kinda a weird gameplay loop at first because it only became apparent that is meant to be a clicker after a some time building up resources. At first I would just click on whatever facility upgrades were available and upgrade that.

I did find it fun thanks to the juicy, satisfying click sounds though. Overall a pretty fun idle game, but would love to see some more upgrades to it.

Thank you very much for your kind comment!
We indeed intend to extend the game, with an early release including small adjustments and taking into account the feedbacks we got from the Jam! stay tuned and you should see the next version very soon :)

WHO IS BUYING SO MANY BRICKS?

I noticed the market exploit completely by accident when I noticed that my resources weren't going down as I continuously spammed the x100 button. That was in my second run after a 40 day run because I was just vibing to the ambient music. Pretty well done, cramping my hand was definitely worth it.

BTW I didn't get to 1M screws till day 14 so is there an ending there or is it just for our own satisfaction?

Developer

Hey! We first tought of stopping the game after 14 days, but to make it funnier for players we decided to remove the end game for now and let the players play as long as they want!

Nice that you found the exploit :)

very cool game, the art looks very good, the idea is very nice and the game is very polished!

Developer

thank you :)

I don't like these kinds of strategies, but it's clear you put a lot of effort into it!
How do you make a full-screen button like this?

Developer(+1)

Hey!

You have an option in the itch game setup page

Submitted

YES, I saw that, but still sometimes some blue button is displayed differently. Apparently this is already related to the screen resolution in the game itself.

Developer(+1)

maybe something to do with the webGL templates. We used PWA I think

The music is great, the writing is good, really sets the tone immediately.  Good clear tutorial was nice, and it was easy enough to pick up and play.  I played for about 10 minutes but didnt get to the overflow, but i like the idea of utilizing it to satisfy our supreme leader, great job!

Developer

Thank you very much :)

This is a very polished experience with a beautifully put together presentation. Incredibly impressive for the amount of dev time. I wasn't able to find the exploit, but it's still a great proof-of-concept and has a lot of potential for expansion. Hope you keep fleshing it out!

I maxed out every building by day 40 but I hadn't even figured out the error in game, I thought that the error was that buildings would stop production sometimes but then I read the description and I don't think I noticed that at all. The game was fun and I liked that the market made it so you could trade some resources for other resources. I just sat there and waited until I could bricks though as every upgrade took bricks instead of using the previous resource which I think could be expanded upon. Overall nice job though

Developer

thank you for your comment :)
You are right we could have forced the player to gather enough resources from the previous stage to go to the next, but we really wanted the player to be free of the order in which the buildings are built nd upgraded, giving him more true choices and maybe making them want to try other strategies after winning/ failling

Submitted(+1)

I generally like it and it feels fun to interact with the building. However, I am not a too big fan of the way that you have to discover the bug in order to reach the goal.

I think this approach is creative as a solution to the game, but it is also somewhat flawed. Mostly, because you get no hint from the game that is showing you that this is what you are supposed to do in order to reach the final goal.  But also, if you figure it out, you kind of only do some by accident and by hitting the trade button way too often. But, I personally do not think it is a very intuitive thing and I only learned about this core "bug" when I read the game discription after I played.

for a core mechanic, I think it is way too unintuitive to be discovered and engaged with by most of the players. and without that mechanic, you really only have a short and fun incremental game with some nice pixel art.

So overall good job for the time you had, but I think it would have been way more fun if you found a way to integrate that core bug more naturally in the game.

Developer

thank you for your comment!
I agree with you on the fact that this mechanic is was too hidden. We tried to hint it with the title of the trading computer "now with 12 bits encoding" but I think it was a big mistake to assume that it would be enough.

Very nicely done. It is very impressive that you guys were able to create this in 3 days, you should be very proud of this. I was able to product a lot of keys and fully upgrade everything. Thanks for the enertainment!

Developer

thank you very much for this kind comment :)

Very fun game, the art and sound are great too. Maybe I missclicked and didn´t notice it but somehow the factorys turned of at random times and halted my progress. Otherwise it is super polished.

Developer

thank you very much :)
to clarify this point, we didn't show it in the tutorial (game jam rush brain fart from me) but when a factory doesn't have enough resource to produce, it "crashes" and stops until you activate it back manually. We wanted this mechanic to add more user interraction with the buildings besides upgrading, but forgot to tell the player about it... our bad!
Anyway thanks for enjoying our game!

I loved the overall gameplay and the music, very well done. Able to produce 10 million+ screws 😄

Great game, very well made, beautiful art, and fun gameplay. I just couldn’t figure out where it fit into the theme, but congratulations on the game!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our game!☺️We didn't have enough time to make the bug in the game more obvious, but the idea here is that each transaction on the market becomes less profitable, and if you repeat the same transaction many times, the counters will overflow and become negative (like health counter in mario game). With this "bug", you can get a lot of resources

Submitted(+1)

Really Fun game!! but I don't see how it fits the theme.
