How does your game bring our theme, The Error is the Feature, to life?
In Oculohedron, blinking feels like a bug. Every time you close your eyes, the world snaps sideways: walls twist, corridors vanish, rooms shuffle like broken code.
Instead of loud visual glitches or ragdoll chaos, I leaned into a subtler, more immersive kind of error. The environment behaves unpredictably, like reality is misaligned or corrupted by faulty logic and well, it's a whole new mechanic to experiment with, probably following in the footsteps of Before Your Eyes, to trigger narrative moments. But instead of focusing on story, I'm exploring how blinking could drive actual gameplay.
Did you include a fake publisher splash screen at the start of your game?
Did you use the Audius API in your game?
If AI was used in your game, let us know how you used it.
Nope, just for debugging and the occasional hairpulls :)

This has such a cool concept and I could definitely see this turning into a really cool platformer with more time! I think it would be cool if you added a story as well, especially if you made it a scary game.
Cool concept! I've played Before your eyes as well, it's cool to see another take on that idea. Really great job for your first gamejam! the blog post was a cool read as well. Sadly I didn't have a webcam, but to simulate the experience my partner was watching my eyes and pressing B when i blinked hehe.
I could see taking it in a slightly horrory direction being very interesting, since then then you can really play with what gets seen, missed and when a blink might get you in trouble, etc.
Great job overall!
Thanks so much!
Love that you got creative with the blinking! Co-op blinking mode!!
A horror twist is a great idea and actually crossed my mind too. It fits so well with something as intimate as blinking… I’m just a bit of a horror wimp T_T
An amazing concept with great potential. Nice work.
Really appreciate it, means a lot!
A genius idea—I never thought a game could be integrated with blinking. When I first blinked and found the world changed, it reminded me of the excitement I felt when I first started playing games. Such an excellent gameplay mechanic!
The camera access request was afraid of me first but it's a feature not a bug :D Still I went with regular keys. And game was fun and innovative. Well done mate!
I know the camera part can be a bit much for privacy-conscious folks.
Really appreciate you giving it a go anyway and glad you stuck with it! 🙌
Well thats what i call innovation! What an idea. Visuals can be improved and music can be more fitting to create an eerie atmosphere. Overall great game and very cool idea!
Thanks a lot! Really glad the idea clicked with you.
Totally hear you on the visuals and music, I am traditionally a programmer so that's definitely something I want to improve next time!
Incredibly innovative concept. Although the game visuals are a bit barebone, it works well enough for the concept.
My eyes feel dried out a bit after playing though. But I enjoyed going over the game a lot. Joined you and Quinten on the stream. Well done!
Yeah, it was super fun talking to you too!
Thanks so much for playing even with the eye strain 😅
I went all in on the last level and the web didn’t love it, so I had to strip a lot back. Definitely a lesson learned, and I’ll do better next time!
I love seeing cool gimmicky concepts in jam games! Blinking as a mechanic is really cool!
Did turn into eyestrain simulator for me though. ;)
Hope you enjoyed the live feedback too! <3
Thanks so much for playing... and for the live feedback, it was a blast to watch (and seeing other games too)!
Thanks again for giving it a go and for blinking through the madness!
didn't have a webcam but I see what you were trying to go for an it's a cool concept for a mechanic, so hats off for that.
also, I'm very surprised how smooth things are with Godot 3D and web especially
Really appreciate you giving it a shot, especially without a webcam, hope the B key helped a bit!
It means a lot to hear your thoughts. Getting 3D to run smoothly on the web took so many little performance tricks, and even then, that last level still lags, despite all the time I poured into it 😅
But hearing you makes it all feel worth it!
Thanks again!
Cool integration of a blinking through the webcam. Didn't know that was even possible through a browser.
I was a little confused by the goal and gameloop. I wasn't really sure what to do other than blink and run around.
I wanted to leave hints on the walls through spray paint but it never materialized, should have just added text... my bad. Thanks a lot for trying it out nevertheless!
Hint for others: If you don't have a webcam or do not like to blink often, press B when you feel lost! Also, blinking near the lights take you to the next level (again sorry for no text feedback)
(in my defense, the integration over web took like a day and a half by itself, thanks again for noticing)
Great game, The L key is not working I think so I just attach the web cam and play it but over all the idea and concept was brilliant.
Oh, I changed the blink key from L to B.
Thank you a lot for trying it out nevertheless!
