How did you incorporate the theme and lore?
Both were incorporated into the setting of the game.

The solar system has been destroyed (some might say they broke the system), which is why you must dodge asteroids or little pieces of the destroyed planets.

The spaceship was dropped into your hand (the POV of the spaceship is used to illustrate this point). Loud thumps echo through the area every time you fail to protect this gift that was trusted upon you, reminding you that you still have some lives left to complete your mission.

I played your game on stream here for real time reactions (Game can be found in description next to time stamp):

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Simple and charming style. It took me kinda long to realize the beeping was showing you how far from the energy boxes you were. I thought it was a strange kind of percussion in the music haha. Once I figured it out it was really fun.

Love the retro feel! Easy to pickup on the mechanics without having to do a tutorial or read instructions

Simple to play and to understand! Good job!

I love the way of lore is used in the game but i kinda don't accept it on theme
Nice game overall!!??!

Submitted(+1)

i like how the game gives you only hints based on the beeps (might be hard for deaf to play tho)

Developer

Thanks and also yeah, I thought about making a visual radar that you could use as an alternative, but I didn't have time to do it.

HAHA The Beeps Reminded Me Of Some Game We Used To Play during Child Hood

Really Nice Mechanic!

Though I didn't Quite Get What connected it to breaking a System, Maybe I Missed Something?!

Developer

My reason for the connection with the theme is here on the submission if you want to read it, but it's not as clear as some other games.

oo now I see...

My Bad!

That makes sens now

I like its simplicity, it's very easy to understand what you have to do, and it's pretty fun!

Simple but smooth. Well done!

Fun game and the look is pretty nice.

It is hard to get at first what you are supposed to do. Because the camera doesn’t move until you change “rooms” I did not know you could move outside and didn’t know the minimap was a minimap until I accidentally did move outside and saw it change.

Also the radar. I did not know it was a “faster = closer” until I found an energy box and made the connection. I though it was just random at first.

Explaining that in the description of the page might help a lot.

Developer

You're absolutely right about everything.

Thank you for the feedback!

Really fun game, I didn’t really see any reference of the theme, but overall the game was really fun, the HUD gave me Iron Man vibes. 8/10

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much!

You can read the explanation for the theme in my submission but yeah, it's not as clear as other games.

Pretty fun game! The lore was a bit of a stretch to define, but uhhh, yeah! Fun fun :)

Thank you very much!

I agree with the beep being a bit too loud or a bit too harsh in the context of its repetition. The first time I played, I heard the fast beep-sound, and since I had 0 electricity, I thought it was a warning sound. When I collected the first pack, the beep frequency changed to a lot slower. I spent the next 5-10 minutes just randomly flying around having no thought of following the beep at all. Haha. xD

When I realised the echo was something to follow, the game immediately became a lot more fun! However, sadly I'm very very bad at playing these kinds of games and never managed to get more than one or two packs before smashing into an asteroid. :(

I should've probably been more explicit with the way it worked! Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Fun little game! You should tone the beeping down a little, I think its a bit too loud.

Developer

Thanks! And yeah, I was afraid it would be too loud.
