Very cool idea! Enjoyed the concept, however i found it quite challenging dealing with platforming whilst keeping the humans alive :P Good game :)

Cool idea and level design! The mashup types of games is really clever, it is a good mix, which I think that you can expand it in a bigger game!

However, the only issue that I have with your game, it is platforming part, which I found sometimes imprecise.

But, overall nice work!

Nice level design, fun puzzles, great polish in the light and the idea is pretty cool and out of my mind, overall excelent game.

It's a bit fiddly, but I like the idea of you being immune to monsters and the mechanic is definitely unique.

UI and sound effects are great. Cheers!

Real cool puzzle/skill game!

I feel like there was too much text in the beginning. It's a simple game with a simple premise, no need for extensive lore and detailed tutorial descriptions. Monster sound was overlapping when they lave and reenter the light sphere. You should make some internal check if they played the sound a second ago, so they stop spazzing out. Other than that no criticism.

Developer

Thanks!

I did want to implement something like that, so that they don't do that, but I didn't have much time for it, definetly something I'll add later if I figure out how to do it well.

And for the text, I wanted a way for explaining the mechanics that isn't "when you're lit the monsters run from you and the humans go to you, when you're not you can't collide with humans and the enemies get attracted to you", which sounds a bit random, but yeah, it might have been too much text.

Sorry about the text. Obviously I woudn't want that! Just cut down the number of text panels before the game starts. I am inpatient and want to play the game. If I decide to get invested into it I don't mind more lore. My tip would be to spread it out a little more and have the level talk more for the story. (show don't tell sticks better!)

That's actually a very good idea. I wanted to explain all the mechanics before you start playing the game, but introducing the (few) mechanics as the player goes along would probably be better. It's something that many other games do, it just didn't occur to me for some reason

cool game, the idea of a medieval rhythm combat game just cracks me up. I feel like this idea has a lot of potential and could be really fun if developed further.

Developer

I don't know what do you mean by a "rhythm combat" game, but thanks!

I would like to develop it more, but I'm not great at level design, so I'll see, but I do want to

Interesting mechanic, a little bit tricky to solve, but awesome

Interesting game mechanics! Took me a bit to figure out how to "properly" use the humans (trying to avoid spoilers.) I think i found a bug on level 5 the creatures wouldn't cross the bridge so i was stuck.

Developer

Thanks!

I can't quite remember which level was level 5, but it is a bit hard to pass the monsters through those bridges, I couldn't think of another way of making those while still making it seem like without the bridges they'd fall (I couldn't just make the gap wider and leave a blank space, they'd "fall to the void"). It's hard, you just have to scare them and try to get them to go 1 by 1.

Very creative idea, I like the game a lot :-)

Very creative! Once I eventually realised what I had to do it was quite engaging
