Yeah this game hits the spot. Very cool visuals, sound design. Feels solid, fluid and just generally very slick. This is an amazing game and you should feel proud.
The experience starts off with a "oooh this looks pretty and feels very nice to play"
Then you get to "Huh? What does this mean? Why am I chaining islands together? How will I ever get to my 1M score?"
And then finally the realization:
Thank you, your game is very fun to play too
I love it. The moment I realised you could play flag islands without connecting them to get the speed boost… well, chain goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Glad to see someone figure out how to play my weird game.
Love the concept and it looks super polished. Agree with some of the other comments that the mechanics could be hard to grasp. Sometimes only 3 islands would produce, other times I'd see a chain of 5 islands produce, but there was no clear indication as to what the conditions were. Add some instructions and this will be solid.
Very polished, beautiful art and FX. A bit difficult to grasp the mechanics and to figure out a good island setup. I was throwing islands a little bit randomly without really understanding how to control the flow of money and score. Also it’s a bit frustrating to have some island produce gold but no score and vice-versa. Why not simplify and make every island produce some gold and score but with varying amounts?
Overall very nice game, well done.
I found the process a bit slow, but it's a very beautiful game.
Love the UI/UX, the art is awesome and the sound design slaps!
Only thing I didn't understand is why only some of the islands would be producing. I could change the ones producing by moving them around, but I couldn't get all of them to produce no matter how close I dragged them.
Overall super solid game - very impressive!
