This was such a fun and interesting game, and the visuals and music were so polished! I was really invested in our little ghostly hero by the end, which is super impressive for a game made in such a short amount of time! (I would love to learn some more about Magenta in the future!) Great job! :)

Use of the limitation
To make progress in the game, you have to make sacrifices. Stepping on colored areas to move forward hurts, firing sparkles hurts, and even jumping hurts! Also, with each progressing level, you start out with less health than before. This embodies my belief that growth doesn't mean piling abilities onto yourself willy-nilly, but it is a stripping away of the things that we are not... And let's be honest, true growth hurts!

This was a really unique game. I really loved the mechanics and the lessons it taught. That you might have to make a few mistakes to truly reach an end. A very fun and well made game in my opinion.
I really like the presentation and the story was well thought out. I wish there was a reset button because I would get hurt early on in a level and then have to just find the quickest way to lose the rest of my health. I’m not sure what the sparkle mechanic was for either. Overall, I think this is a really cool game and you put a lot of effort in! Good job!
Thank you so much for playing my game!! Ahaha, yes, throughout I was thinking of adding a "Press R to reset" mechanic, but then I thought, "Nahhhh, we can't reset in life!" So I decided to remain with the "self-sabotage to advance" method to restart, in order to stay in line with the theme that true progress hurts! But I can see what you mean, I will take your feedback into account for future works~ Again, thank you so much for playing! ^^
Ah, and the sparkle mechanic is but another a metaphor for life~
Really nice presentation. The level is paced to match the line delivery well.
It would be nice if you were allowed to make a few more mistakes and still clear the level. It felt a bit demoralizing when I made a mistake early on and just had to waste the rest of my actions. Sometimes it's okay to make a few mistakes in life too, you know. :P
Ahh, thank you for playing my game~
Yeah! I see what you mean with the mistake pardon! That was something I struggled so much with during the level design portion! Actually, the initial version was suuuuuper punishing (TFW your own game kicks your butt LOL), so I had to bring the difficulty/frustration level down a LOT, haha~ But I'll keep your feedback in mind for future projects; not so punishing/demoralizing but not super forgiving either, just like life! ;)
This was really good! I though what really made it stand out was its message. I found ways that it hit home for me as I played through. It was like while my hands played one game, my brain was running through another haha. Looked great though and played very well! I wasn't a huge fan of the music by the end cause it felt a bit repetitive, but other than that I thought you set a nice tone and stuck to your message very well! Great game :)
Ooh, I really like the way you explain your playthrough experience! Yes, I tried to unravel the story in a natural and somewhat passive way; relating to the hardships and truths of the real world, but also ever-so-slightly motivational for the darker times that pop up at times! So I'm super glad that you connected with it~
Hm! I can see your point with the repetitiveness of the music at times! I'll keep it in mind for future projects, so thank you for the feedback, and thank you so much for playing my game!!
What a cute game!
The poetic phrases and the mysterious atmosphere made this game quite original!
You're a great story teller!
I absolutely loved this game! The visuals of black and white really made the rainbow colors pop out. The music and storyline was very intruging, and it was very enjoyable to play. Also, the concept of having a limited amount of jumps made this a very clever way to use the limitation and a fun puzzle game! :)
Thank you so so much..!! I'm so glad you enjoyed my little game!!! I was actually afraid the overpowering concept of a world devoid of color would somewhat counter the "Colors" theme, but it ended up fitting well with the limitation, which in turn propelled along the idea for the story, haha~ Ahhh, but again, thank you so much for playing and for your support!! ^^
Quite enjoyable experience, I like the ambience, the spritework is cutesy, but the poetry, music and level design make it all feel pretty eerie. This also has one of my favourite limitation usage, with most of the things, that you would be advised to do in most games actually hurting you. I'm not quite sure what the story is about, but that's probably just because I'm very tired rn and I really should go to bed, so... goodnight (probably not considering timezones exist)!
Thank you so much for playing my game, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience!! Yeah, the story is a bit experimental and abstract, mixed in with some personal weirdness that lives in my own head rent-free, so it's probably not just the tiredness, haha~ I hope you have a chance to rest well after all the hard work that went on during the jam! (Pfff, yeah, what are time zones, even? Hahaha~)
Honestly super impressive the work you put into this. To have so many diverse levels with all a unique theme, relevant art, animations and music, AND also a story all by yourself in 3 days.
And it all looks and feels really great too! Definitely a jam game you can be proud of!
A very cool game! I loved the narrative throughout, and the passive presentation of it. Also, the music was really good; I don't know if this was design or coincidence, but it always seemed to seamlessly swell when the narrative took a more positive turn, which was really good for tone and mood.
The mechanic of trading life for actions is an interesting one that I'm still a bit on the fence on, but I think you have a nice implementation of it here. I liked the clear marking with colour of the things that will hurt you.
A note on controls: the switching between the keyboard for the gameplay and the mouse for menus was a bit annoying, but it's a jam game and keyboard menus are a bit harder.
Anyway, great game with a really nice atmosphere. Fantastic work!
Thank you so much for playing and for your thoughtful feedback! I am so glad you enjoyed my little story! Yes, while developing the game, I worked diligently to the wonderful soundtracks by Private Hell Productions, the main source for the music! While working and listening, I found some of their tracks to be in near perfect alignment with the narrative and atmosphere envisioned, complementing each other, in a way!
And yes, I totally agree with you on the controls! This is my first game, so I'm still learning the ropes, but thank you so much for pointing that out! I'll work on that and other ways to make subsequent experiences more streamlined!
Again, thank you so so much!!
This, was, amazing, The narrative was so immersive and i felt like i was connected with the game, Truly an amazing experience, For me, the writing is what pulls it all together, Toss in some super nice art & it all works perfectly, Also really enjoyed how the narrative fit with the gameplay, and it didnt feel like stuff was just there for the sake of it
BUT It goes even deeper, Im sure the story told has some meta reference, and i think i can piece a few things together, Or you could say a couple things "clicked" ;)
Fantastic game cant wait to see more!
I love the concept for this! Found it very hard, but I guess that's the point!
