Great game! At times it felt the space was too small and cramped, but I also don't play many bullet hell games. love the audio

Really fun! I love the art style and the music. Its all very goofy and unique, It fits the theme well and is overall just very enjoyable. The only issue I have with it is lack of tutorial and the player health bar is a bit too big. I'm honestly surprised how you made everything in such a short amount of time, especially for how polished it is. Overall great job!
Nice idea!
I like the various takes on the features of an OS throughout all of these games, and a bullet hell is a very cool one!
Throwing the player right into the game can be a bit much, I found myself often getting hit by the first bullet of a boss just because I wasn't ready for the game to start yet. As well have no idea what is going to happen. I also only figured out that there was a dodge roll by just going "I wonder if right click does anything." So a bit more of a "tutorial" or introduction would be helpful.
I think that this game would be improved a lot if it had a larger screen / room size. It can feel very claustrophobic in the area, with very little space to move around. I was often hit by things and wouldn't be able to tell you what hit me or why I deserved it. I would also get hit by the boss itself, which I don't really think should be much of a problem in a bullet hell game. I wasn't every really able to tell what patterns a boss was throwing at me because I wasn't able to see them. If the room size was increased with a fixed camera I think it could play a lot nicer and allow for more actual dodging and less getting lucky.
I liked the windows ideas having effects on the fight, especially with the dragon even using the split shot as an advantage to shoot more bullets if I decided to get close enough. (Hopefully those shots didn't have reduced damage...) And I think there is A LOT more room here for more interactions with the windows. I usually try to think of ideas to add to a game when reviewing them, and I found these ones to come the easiest. Here are just a few ideas:
- Avoiding a cursor that can move the boss or player
- A boss using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste a large attack
- Selecting and deleting potions of the map
I think basically anything that was in within the Animator Vs Animation series can be used for inspiration for how the OS combines with the gameplay.
I also think that having a larger screen could help with seeing these windows and how they are effecting the gameplay. I didn't really know what the Octopus drawing applications were doing at first.
Cute visuals! I am a sucker for thick pixel outlines.
Nice job!
Probably one of the best games here, what can I say its Derpi.
The art is amazing and fits the style, the use of the limitation was creative I liked it, the sounds feel good and fit this arcade style.
The mechanics are polished, they feel good, the enemies are fun and hard, and they have different attack patterns wich make them better.
One thing I would add its maybe a death animation of the monsters instead of just the blackscreen, but that's asking to much from one person in 7 days, overall 5 stars, amazing game
I had quite a bit of fun with this one! This game looks great and overall it feels quite polished. I do think that if the camera was focused a little more inward toward the boss it would make dodging projectiles a bit more fair.
I enjoyed this game a lot. I love the idea but there are a few things.
I think the game really needs a camera change showing the entire arena. It felt very annoying to not be able to see where bullets where coming from and the boss health the whole time. The art is cool tho and I love the octopus!
Really neat concept, had a lot of fun playing this one! Only feedback I would give is making the camera cover the whole screen. It felt like sometimes (especially with the art boss) there wasn't enough time to react to the projectiles. That being said, I also suck at bullet hell games. Overall though, very fun!
This game looks super good! Movement and shooting also feels nice. Great game!
An epic action packed gameplay. So much stuff going on it is just great. The difficulty seems to be fine. I think the main issue with the second boss is when he moves and sits in the corner and you can't keep going in circles around him anymore so you end up biting a lot of bullets. The dodge ability is very useful though in dealing with that stuff. The game is very good and fun overall and the visuals are 10/10 =D Nice work!
Fun game and really charming aesthetic! I'm nitpicking here but I would've preferred for the boss health to be always visible even though it makes sense thematically to be in a fixed place. Also, there should probably be a longer delay between the round starting and the boss starting to attack. Awesome concept though and I would love to see it expanded more!
Really good fast paced game! It's hard but not impossible. I think it really uses the limitation very well, and the bosses are really interesting.
Pretty cool. Needs a reference to the scariest virus of them all, the terminal window that shows up for half a second and closes itself haha.
This is fun, aside from the already mentioned difficulty issues, I think this is a great game and how each boss used a different program for their attacks is creative. How the min-octopi are painted is brilliant. The giving up buttons is also a interesting and hilarious touch. Makes me think all games need one at some point. Although the one on the menu it was hard to tell what it did until I noticed the music stopped so the game must have stopped.
This one's tough, but maybe it's just a skill issue on my part. I also wasn't too sure if the snipped bullets dealt half each or not and if I should try to use them to my advantage, but that was because I didn't read the description. I did have fun with this, even though I couldn't beat the second boss. Good game!
