Neat concept, though I couldnt find any baddies. I included it in my compilation video series of the Low Rez Jam games, if you would like to take a look :)
Nice game! xD
Great! Almost broke my spacebar. Really fun.
The game is much more moodier than I expected going in. Despite the simplicity, the music and the rain really give that "one guy against insurmountable odds" feel to the game. As others have pointed out, navigating around fences was a bit tedious; perhaps you can add a map feature to make navigating the town a bit easier. I would also to see a bit more variety in the encounters with the criminals. Maybe you can have more than one input during the fights.
Cool! A bit repetitive and some minor sound bugs (sometimes the music loop can start more than once), but it really sets the tone well. I loved the map and all the things you can find on it (especially the horses!). Also the final boss battle took me by surprise!
Awesome game bro! I found it relaxing :)
I like the graphics man! Fun little game, I wish I could press shift or something to run so I could get around the town quicker but other than that, nicely done!
Right click doesn't show any menus for me, but I managed to open the frame in a new tab and play it a bit :-)
Aha, opening the frame in its own tab helps, yes!
The charm of the game shines through, even in spite of technical issues.
Similar comments to those below - navigating the town is frustrating due to fences and such. At first, I enjoyed looking around at the lovely character design and the other nice details. But after two fights, it just got boring slogging from one to another. Walking between criminals just felt like it was wasting my time because exploration serves no real purpose. If you could find some way to include some player progression and maybe link this to the exploration (collectibles?), I think this would improve the game. Every fight really felt exactly the same except for the last one, so it would also be interesting to see some variation there.
I should say that I did finish the game and I enjoyed it overall. I just wanted to give you some good feedback.
Looks awesome, but the down arrow ruins the experience for me as well.
I like a lot the style of the graphics, especially the animations. But the world itself I find far too big for the purpose. There's a lot of intersting and funny things to look at in the town, but the space in between is rather empty. And the fences... I've now developed a phobia of f.. f.. fenceeeees. Though the contrast of pace between moving around the town and francically bashing my keyboard to bits is rather amusing. :P
Aha, hey @PhoenixBoltS. I'm not sure what's happening with the browser version; sadly I can't try the Windows version 'cos I'm not on Windows. I'm glad it's being worked on though!
Nice :D
@BrazMogu thank you for playing, and thank you for your suggestions, i will add the features u have said in the future updates :D
I liked the setting of the game very much, and the short is just as simple as it needs to be. The visuals of the battle and the victory pose are well rendered, too, that's a fine looking sunset! :V The song, I liked very much, could just use a bit of tuning to be more seamless when it loops. :P
Only big problem with the game is the pacing. It's really slow, and unless you know where you're going to(and you can't possibly, because there's no map) you can get stuck walking in loops rather slowly. It really could use better navigation or at least a run button.
@stuartlangridge I suggest u to use windows version of the game instead of HTML5 because its a bit buggy now.
but really i have tested this HTML5 game on many browsers, but not get the problem u r getting,
it seems that your browser's iframe got out of focus and scrolled down, u should try it on other browsers or try clicking the iframe to make the browser focus the iframe :D
Sadly, the game doesn't cancel keypresses when they're not used, which means that every time I'm walking downwards and I walk into something, the down arrow is ignored by the game and passes on to the web page and the page scrolls downwards, taking the game out of vision! This made it really hard to play, I'm afraid!
