Did you work in a team?
Just me. Not my first LowRezJam, but the first one I joined two days before it ends?

Was the resolution a challenge?
The resolution is always tricky in a way you don't expect. This time it was the shop. Letters always take up so much room. The list of items is actually aligned a few pixels off screen to make more room for letters.

What did you learn?
This was part idea stuck in my head, part wanting to use the new version of Godot. I think it was good overall in terms of not letting the scope get out of hand.

Carry on.

Good troll, this game is not an out of season April Fools joke.

Developer

Don't you guys have computers?

Submitted

It does what a tiny clicker game's supposed to do :) The procedural animations are nice and polished (particularly like the bounce on the two transition sprites). A bit of sprite animation would've been nice but 2 days is 2 days! I lol'ed at "[H] THIS" :D Well done!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Animations were definitely something I wanted but had to cut for time.

love the humor, and the weirdness of it all :D was having fun hitting diab with some money. 10/10 would vomit dollars on this bad guy

Interesting combination of elements for theming a clicker game. Volume slider aesthetic is very nice, menus in general work very well (although I didn't notice the shop scrollbar until later). Text is perfectly readable despite resolution limits. A bit small scale but for the last two days of the jam this is perfectly scoped.

Funny idea, nice game!

haha! :D I used an auto clicker I hope you don't mind >:) I feel like that's the kind of thing Morta would approve of ^^
I got each level to ~1500 my auto clicker couldn't buy upgrades faster than the money was being spent, and the cash was way off screen I don't know how far.. great game! :)

Developer(+1)

Diab I mean Morta approves of your automatic clicking!

Thanks for playing!

Morta is hemorraging money, all the numbers are overflowing, the costs are not going up anymore. I think I beat the game? Really fun experience :)

Developer

I'm choosing to believe that my not adding an ending is both intentional and entirely representative of the things I am making fun of, rather than acknowledging that I just didn't get around to it.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Cool gameplay :) and I loved the graphics!

Thanks for playing!

Lol - this was fantastic!

I mean from my perspective this is exactly the same game as the current franchise :D

Developer

It's maybe just a touch exaggerated.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Graphics are nice and overall experience is juicy, not a fan of clickers but enjoyed this one! Good job! :)

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Graphics are neat, concept is funny. I like it

Not really my cup of tea, but the graphics are nice. Would probably expect more of a platformer in this style :)

Developer

No worries. Clicker games aren't for everyone, especially ones made in a short time. Would be cool to make a platformer in this style for sure.

Funny and bit of a no-brainer. Maybe some more movement like some animations other than money flow could add some interest to the concept. Anyway, fun for a while. A good job ;)

Developer

If I'd started the jam at the actual start of the jam, I definitely could've explored the concept further. Glad you enjoyed it for a bit regardless. Thanks for playing.

This is hilarious. I love the concept, the spritework is wonderful, and there's something just vindictively cathartic in smothering ol' Diab in LOADS'A MONEY. Maybe the most polished and definitely most delightful clicker I've seen in a jam, A+ would click again.

Developer

Thanks! It's Diab's only weakness! Probably.

Well I love the meme. I do not love the game play. Also how do I open the shop window? i made it to 1000 points but nothing else ever happened.

Submitted

Pssst: Press H like it says on the main screen for the Help/controls. Space is shop.

I swear I tried both of those things, but will do so again. I thought I clicked every button on my keyboard lol.

Developer

Sorry you ran into trouble in the game. Like goddomitdom said, H brings up a controls menu, and spacebar opens the shop.

Okay, well after getting it to work, I had an even better time with it. One complaint I have is I can't spend 10,000$ for a  chance at a top-tier item that gives me a slightly better chance at another super rare item that actually helps fight the enemy, but whatever.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving it another go. Maybe I should make a post-jam MTX for an overly expensive item rolling system? I feel like it'd be in the spirit of things.

please god.

I think this is how it feels like to buy stuff from Amazon

Developer(+1)

Amazon is run by an agent of Diab, confirmed.
