Did you work in a team?
this was a solo project, i focused mainly on art instead of coding, and ended up with a much shorter game than anticipated. but it was fun for sure.

Was the resolution a challenge?
I am kinda glad that the resolution was this low, this meant less space to put pixels in xD
It was fun to come up with shapes and concepts to represent characters on such a small surface.

What did you learn?
i started working with godot at the start of this jam. the concepts seem really nice, but while working in godot i permanently felt like something's off off with the way things work. it might just not be the right tool for me.

Another thing i've learned is to just build a solid groundwork for 2D animations, or you'll end up using half a dozen different ways to animate things.

I really hope the web version is playable. i didn't sufficiently test the exports, and so far everything worked right in the editor. there aren't any warnings or errors to point me in the right direction either, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
known bugs are glitched audio and misplaced sprites (web version), and random crashes (release version). this is the debug version (yay).

This is totally charming, I'd love to see more of it. The art was great and the platforming felt solid, I really like the idea of being able to jump on any flat surface. And combat was satisfying, though perhaps a dodge or parry mechanic would have added more depth and made it feel a little fairer. The difficulty level felt cranked a little high too, it took me a few moments to work out what to do in the first room and I couldn't even beat the second room's gang of cats. Still I think it has lots of potential :-)

Ps. The web build worked great on Chrome, FWIW!

I love the graphics, the tiny screen feels just right for a a mouse haha, also the house platforming it's really good too.
I pass the second room jumping over the door, I don't know if that was right :P

Congrats!

Awesome game! I had a good time playing it and I think the idea of having the background/furniture as platforms is a really cool idea! great work!

nice little gem but a bit tough to navigate.

Very cute artwork! The character felt a bit clunky to control but I enjoyed this all the same!

Great graphics! Took me a while to figure out why I couldn't just walk straight into the needle. Overall, nice work :)

really cool concept and art! although the character is a bit hard to control and the camera is shaky, overall a pretty great game! :D
