Did you work in a team?
I did not work in a team.

Was the resolution a challenge?
I had a problem with how things looked when moving less than 1 pixel per frame, I ended up liking it.

What did you learn?
This was my first time making a rhythm game, and I learned allot about syncing code to the beat, I might make another similar game in the future.

So good! I could only beat level 1 so far :P Clickbaity title for audio people :D

That was nuts. :) Liked the music, the difficulty,  and the gameplay.

I beat all three tracks, and I had a lot of fun with them. There were two attack patterns that killed me OVER and OVER though:

1. Mid-way through level two when the squares start exploding into fireworks

2. Near the end of level three when the sin wave starts going super crazy and flexing with the beat

Something about these two patterns felt extremely frustrating because I had a lot of trouble understanding/predicting them. I ended up beating both of them not by reaction, but by memorizing where I needed to be on the screen to not die. It felt like a cheesy strategy and a really steep learning curve.

It's definitely a fantastic first rhythm game, and the music slaps. Even when I had to retry the same levels over and over, I still always enjoyed the music. Great work!

Thanks for the feedback! I forgot to add warnings to those attacks in the end that's probably why it was so difficult! I'm glad to hear I made some decent music too!

This was a lot of fun. It had some issues on occasion with giving me enough information on where was safe, but it didn't detract very much from the experience. Great job!

This was awesome! Reminds me of Super Hexagon

cool game, especially the last level is very enjoyable to play.

As for the difficulty, consider giving more information for the moving sprites (like the exploding rects or the sinewave). You could for example draw a grey line half a beat early where the rects are going to shoot, or render an additional sinewave in grey half a beat earlier so you can evade the whiplash in level 3 and not just tuck yourself into a corner and pray ;D

Such a wondeful music! It's really a challanging game, I wasn't able to beat a single track. Still loved gameplay and feeling of progress!

Maybe, with a couple simpler levels everything would be a bit easier

Wow, really hard! may just because i have no rhythm, neat idea though

Submitted(+1)

Yes super hard, but also feels great to make it a bit farther each time. Great job.

Fiendishly hard but great fun.  At times (especially on the blue level) it's hard to see where to avoid so you have to practice!

Very good game overall, managed to beat level 1 and 2, but the third one is insane near the end ! Good job with syncing music and movement, it was very well done !
