This is a very good game.
I really like how you battle in the game and it gives you so many options to go with!
It’s super cool!!
That was the goal! Thank you for the kind words :)
An excellent game. The combination of stunning pixel art, crt shader, and a banging soundtrack creates an incredible atmosphere. The combat is deep yet intuitive, with fun mechanics that make every battle engaging. I enjoyed discovering characters' abilities and experimenting with different strategies (although I may have accidentally sabotaged myself once or twice haha).
The interface is also clear and easy to navigate, and the game feels polished overall. Definitely an outstanding turn-based RPG with a unique twist. Amazing work!
Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed so many aspects :>
Nice! Can my characters die? After twice x3 boost and attack the hp goes to negative, but I can restore hp and continue.
It's definitely intended x)
You can get to -100, but it's harder to heal back up to 0 like that. I wanted players to create new RPG strategies :)
The shaders, art, and music for this are awesome! I discovered I could attack myself and got a kick out of that lol. Nicely done!
I agree, I think everyone in the team did a great job! :)
And yes, attacking yourself is something you can do in many RPGs, and I thought it was very silly, so I kept it in x)
Thank you very much :)
very good sound work, nothing is too loud and the bgm fits the game!! good!!!!
really fun concept too, makes it way spicier and more interesting than a standard rpg, I think if anything I would have liked to see who the enemies were targeting and similar but nonetheless it was a fun time
I would've liked to do more with the battles as well, and targeting was one of them. Turns out that the "cover" system made everything a little bit more complicated, so to code that I would've needed time that I didn't have during the jam x)
That said, I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for playing :)
Very good looks! Good audio. Seems like it has great gameplay, but there was so many options I got lost, hah! UI worked very well. Nice little JRPG gauntlet game. Amazing job finishing the game jam!
Thank you very much for all the compliments! :)
I know it's easy to get lost, and that's why I added the "help" tab. Ideally, I would've made only 1v1 battles to show what you can do, but my spaghetti code couldn't let me x)
Glad you liked it either way! :)
The music is just so damn good! And the artwork is amazing too!
Thank you for playing! I agree, they did a more than amazing job
You can always check out their profiles on the itch page, if you're interested :))
Oh this is so sick!! >:) Extremely good concept and amazing UI/UX
Thank you so much for playing, glad you enjoyed! Your game was also a vibe, congrats once again :))
The graphics are sooo pleasant. The crt shader, the way the corners are going on the inside like a real CRT. Very nice game overall, thanks for the game, I had a blast.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it, thank YOU for playing! :)
The game was hard but I definitely enjoyed playing it.
Thank you so much! :)
If you want tips: you can use items to damage enemies, you can cover allies to deal extra damage, and you can boost attack as much as you want! :)
I really liked this, especially since I made a game with some overlaps on gameplay... so I totally appreciate how much better it has been done here for combat. With the cues and visual feedback making it a satisfying experience.
Figuring out the rules and the impact is a nice twist for the planning aspect of this game.
Thank you so much!
I think you've focused more on world building, and the positive is leaving my jaw open when I opened your game's map. I'd really like to see what you'll do with yours :)
Like everyone, I tried cheesing it by raising the dmg of one character and one shotting the, Idk I couldn't do xD
Really fun turn-based strategy game with some really cool mechanics.
The music BANGER! The sprites AWESOME! The crt effect MWAH!
THANKS! It means a lot :)
I thought players would've balanced the atk between the party members more, but from what I'm seeing the preferred way is boosting someone to level 40 xD
I died fighting a King so i have no regrets. Super cool game.
Thank you! 'Twas truly a regal attempt
This was so good! Boost, boost, boost! (Why is one character getting so buff in the back of this guard line, king? Wait, is that a sword! ONE SHOT!) It took me a while to realize each character had their own ability, and I wish I had known that option three for items was using all items in the list, not just the third item... poor character thought she was drinking a MP potion... drank the thorns too.
Thank you so much, I'm glad to hear you liked it! And yea, overpowering enemies is the best part of the game xD
Wow, beautiful game! Loved it.
Thank you very much! :)
very fun once I figured out what was happening
Part of the fun in RPGs is understanding the rules, I'm glad you enjoyed what you understood :)
Easy to get into with enough depth to make it fun. Music is catchy, sprites are lovely and the CRT filter is the cherry on top. :)
Thank you, I'm glad to hear that! And yes, the music is awesome! If you want to, you can check the musician (Alex Devine) on streaming services, he's awesome! :)
And also Paintsimmon's art was very charming, I agree!
I managed to beat the game with everyone dead, amazing work, the game shaders are amazing and i really enjoyed it.
Whoa! Level 37 Kiki was unexpected, you killed her so much xD
Jokes aside, I'm very happy you enjoyed it! :)
You had my vote with the CRT Filter! Played smoothly and quick to learn. I had some trouble with full screen not accepting clicks.
Glad to see you liked it!
And was the full screen not accepting click in the HTML version, or the Windows one?
Html
Okay, I didn't test the HTML version as much, so it makes sense. I'll look into it, thanks for pointing it out :)
The visuals are top-notch, and I find the combat very entertaining despite me not being into RPGs very much :) It's quite easy to understand, but still has a lot of depth. Also, got some good chuckles from the silly messages. Overall, great job!
Glad to hear you liked it! Thank you so much for playing :)
