Very good looks! Good audio. Seems like it has great gameplay, but there was so many options I got lost, hah! UI worked very well. Nice little JRPG gauntlet game. Amazing job finishing the game jam!

Developer

Thank you very much for all the compliments! :)

I know it's easy to get lost, and that's why I added the "help" tab. Ideally, I would've made only 1v1 battles to show what you can do, but my spaghetti code couldn't let me x)

Glad you liked it either way! :)

The music is just so damn good! And the artwork is amazing too!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I agree, they did a more than amazing job

You can always check out their profiles on the itch page, if you're interested :))

Oh this is so sick!! >:) Extremely good concept and amazing UI/UX

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, glad you enjoyed! Your game was also a vibe, congrats once again :))

The graphics are sooo pleasant. The crt shader, the way the corners are going on the inside like a real CRT. Very nice game overall, thanks for the game, I had a blast.

Developer

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it, thank YOU for playing! :)

The game was hard but I definitely enjoyed playing it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! :)

If you want tips: you can use items to damage enemies, you can cover allies to deal extra damage, and you can boost attack as much as you want! :)

I really liked this, especially since I made a game with some overlaps on gameplay... so I totally appreciate how much better it has been done here for combat. With the cues and visual feedback making it a satisfying experience.

Figuring out the rules and the impact is a nice twist for the planning aspect of this game.

Developer

Thank you so much!

I think you've focused more on world building, and the positive is leaving my jaw open when I opened your game's map. I'd really like to see what you'll do with yours :)

Submitted(+1)

Like everyone, I tried cheesing it by raising the dmg of one character and one shotting the, Idk I couldn't do xD
Really fun turn-based strategy game with some really cool mechanics.

The music BANGER! The sprites AWESOME! The crt effect MWAH!

Developer(+1)

THANKS! It means a lot :)

I thought players would've balanced the atk between the party members more, but from what I'm seeing the preferred way is boosting someone to level 40 xD

I died fighting a King so i have no regrets. Super cool game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! 'Twas truly a regal attempt

This was so good! Boost, boost, boost! (Why is one character getting so buff in the back of this guard line, king? Wait, is that a sword! ONE SHOT!) It took me a while to realize each character had their own ability, and I wish I had known that option three for items was using all items in the list, not just the third item... poor character thought she was drinking a MP potion... drank the thorns too.

Developer

Thank you so much, I'm glad to hear you liked it! And yea, overpowering enemies is the best part of the game xD

Wow, beautiful game! Loved it.

Developer

Thank you very much! :)

very fun once I figured out what was happening

Developer

Part of the fun in RPGs is understanding the rules, I'm glad you enjoyed what you understood :)

Easy to get into with enough depth to make it fun. Music is catchy, sprites are lovely and the CRT filter is the cherry on top. :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that! And yes, the music is awesome! If you want to, you can check the musician (Alex Devine) on streaming services, he's awesome! :)

And also Paintsimmon's art was very charming, I agree!

I managed to beat the game with everyone dead, amazing work, the game shaders are amazing and i really enjoyed it.

Developer

Whoa! Level 37 Kiki was unexpected, you killed her so much xD

Jokes aside, I'm very happy you enjoyed it! :)

You had my vote with the CRT Filter! Played smoothly and quick to learn. I had some trouble with full screen not accepting clicks.

Developer

Glad to see you liked it!

And was the full screen not accepting click in the HTML version, or the Windows one?

Okay, I didn't test the HTML version as much, so it makes sense. I'll look into it, thanks for pointing it out :)

The visuals are top-notch, and I find the combat very entertaining despite me not being into RPGs very much :) It's quite easy to understand, but still has a lot of depth. Also, got some good chuckles from the silly messages. Overall, great job!

Developer

Glad to hear you liked it! Thank you so much for playing :)

the graphics are excellent, love the vhs filter on top of pixel art, and the characters sprites look incredible! It's simple but taking a new spin on a already known genre is an amazing idea, loved it ✨

Developer

Thank you! I really appreciate it, glad to hear you enjoyed it! :)

super cool way you made the game look and feel, beautiful sprites and nice matching sound to the game vibe. I though feel it takes to long to kill a enemy, its quite a few attacks you need to go through in order to kill the enemies, when you start the game. I would think it should be sorta faster to kill the first few to get the player hooked. Nevertheless i think you got something really cool going on here, and with some more adjustments to the gameplay this could actually be a even cooler game :D

Good job ma dude!

Developer

Thanks for playing! :)

I made so many people play this and it seemed like this was a good mix between challenge and chill. I'll definitely keep your feedback in mind if I'll make more adjustments! Balancing is always the toughest part, so I get what you mean x)

The first time I opened the game, I already liked the effect you added on the render screen XD

The battle is easy to understand and using HP and MP to do damage really give a twist on how to plan the fight

Really interesting concept XD

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I hope you had fun! :)

Loved this game. It's interesting to me how you can make a unique experience just by putting a new spin on something familiar, and the way you achieved that here is amazing. The HP loss seemed pretty inconsequential in the first few fights, but the strategy involved gets surprisingly deep by the time you reach the final(?) fight. Graphics and music were awesome too. You could turn this into a full-fledged commercial game and I'd definitely buy it!

Developer

Thank you very much! I really appreciate that :))
