what you have here is a great system that I think could be iterated on further. As it is now things seemed pretty basic but as far as i could tell everything works nicely, good job.
basic, but fairly fun game, only bad part, is that it doesn't adhere to the theme.
It was fun to juggle the different resources for a little while, good work
cool game, always love a good city builder (or any game with money at that) haha
The idea is great! Though I think there can be a lot more done to the game to really make it shine, like audio, a tutorial/explanation (although it wasn't that hard to pick up), and some better game balance.
The foundation is solid and seems like it would be fun to try out when it's further developed. Cheers!
Fun idea! as seen in the comments a little more work left but this can turn out to something really great! nice entry! great job!
I like strategy/city builders. This fits my taste but it needs more work. Keep developing it!
A nice little strategy game. But you can add more content. And also need some tutorials for understand how game works.
Cool idea. It was fun to find the right balance. I kind of missed a destroy option for the previous house, because sometimes the building was just placed somewhere when I clicked wrong. A few more buildings would be cool and I think the balance can be improved. I could basically just build barns and shops and add plague doctors without having to build a house :D
I like the core idea and the plague-doctor theme. Colony management tends to be one of my favorite genres and it was a lot of fun for a brief while.
This game has a great deal of potential, though I feel like there are some bugs and rebalancing issues that need to be worked out. For instance, it doesn't seem to matter much where I place my units, they will always give the same effect. I realize creating synergies is harder, but would add to the gameplay value as you force players to plan more.
Also, maybe I'm missing some key strategy, but I tried to min-max my resources and quickly discovered that it was easy to get more than enough food and gold early on. Placing a population building will always make everyone instantly sick, whereas placing plague doctors will instantly remove all but 1 sickness, rather than it being a gradual effect over time. The result seems to be that you will always game over at population 25, which is a little disappointing. Was hoping to be able to juggle it a bit longer.
The art style is nothing to write home about, though I realize not everyone is an artist and I'd much rather sacrifice that for solid gameplay than the other way around. Decent job overall for only a week. Best of luck to you.
An interesting game trying to balance out food and plague while increasing population. I liked it, well done!
I liked the mechanics! It took a second to figure out, but I liked the economy balancing. One thing that might be good to add is a benefit for having more population. It wasn’t readily clear what the benefit would be in having more of each resource apart from just mere expansion, and the most precious commodity appeared to be food, once I had three coin stalls I had more than enough money for the rest of the game and the battle was between food and warding off the plague. I think once those things are a bit more balanced though you’ve got a really cool concept and if along the way maybe you can upgrade things and have a medical clinic or a factory or something that would be really neat to be able to expand further.
Nice simple game. Enjoyed trying to have everything evened out, however it would be nice to get some more info on what exactly is happening, just so one can better plan and predict the strategy. Fun concept!
I like a lot this type of games! this its a bit hard but after a few tries its really fun. Good job!
