Theme interpretation
Messing up the whole house to connect a wire to a power socket is the definition of a "bad connection". Our game is all about connecting wires while messing up everything!

Players Notice
The wire physics simulation is a bit cheeky, but it becomes part of the experience. Can't wait for a screenshot of a sub-minute run!

If you are using Firefox and experiencing issues, please try to run the game in full screen.

Development Software
Unity, Blender, Gimp

Accessibility
The main gameplay elements are black/gray. The hints that guide only use one color that has no gameplay relevance. The audio is optional.

The puzzle aspect of the game was very fun to engage with. Felt like the times I'm trying to vaccumm and get the most out of my cord length. Well done on the physics of the wire. You could get some interesting solutions. Loved the 3d models! Loved the physics of being able to knock things over and move the write around them. Plugging in never felt so satisfying.

Great job y'all!

Thank you! We need to further improve our skills in physics, We'll do our best

I think it was brave to go with wire physics for the main mechanic. Sometimes feels janky, but it's kinda part of the fun.

Thank you for your feedback! You also have a good run time

This is the type of game that I'd like to see in a jam! Innovative game design with stuff that isn't seen anywhere else. From that alone, I would give this game quite a bit of praise! I like the concept of trying jankily to do normal stuff, giving me a good vibe of Moving Out and Surgeon Simulator, and I think you nailed that quite well. It wouldn't be a surprise if this were further developed into a longer game. I am looking forward to it!

For something to criticise, I'd say the lack of background music really hurts the overall presentation of the game. I would imagine some funny background music to pair up with this hilarious game. The use of the infamous Unity Physics is a hit or miss sometimes, especially with that flickering power cord, it gets quite annoying from time to time. It even got straight through the wall for me at one time. But I do have to give a huge amount of kudos for doing string physics in the first place. It's a pain in the ass to work with! I would also suggest adding something to visually suggest you are grabbing something. Currently, it is not that intuitive, and it confuses me sometimes for not properly picking up the power socket.

Anyway, even with all that said, this is still a very good game! I fully enjoyed it! Well done!

Thank you for your feedback! We still have not figured out how to properly make and handle audio

Nice concept and theme implementation! The audio and SFX are also good. However, I think the gameplay could be improved. Currently, it feels very jagged to move the wire around. Sometimes it doesn't get picked up, or it just doesn't move the way you want it to. The puzzles also weren't much different from each other, and could be solved fairly easily. I think making them more difficult and requiring different solutions to solve them would help keeping the player hooked on the game. Good job on your entry!

Before anyone freaks out: no I'M NOT A JUDGE, I just rate and give feedback to everyone's games.
My rating has the same weight as anyone else's!

notes timeee:

Itch marketing:

- Cover art looks interesting? The colors are washed out, it's a far away screenshot of the map in the background? You can certainly put more thought into it and set up a scene in your engine and make a custom screenshot for your cover

- The logo is nice

- Screenshots make me think of a puzzle game, while the cover art makes me think of a platformer (due to the level design?)

- I like your pitch

- You don't need to explain controls if they are standard, and preferably do it in the game itself.

Alright time to play

- yay fullscreen works

- Sound sliders are not linear...

- I'm instantly annoyed but the footstep sound here's why:

    - The pitch doesn't change slightly every time (which you should do for often repeating sfx)

    - It doesn't match up with the camera bobbing (for which I'd like to see a setting to toggle on/off)

- Yeah tutorial explains the controls, so there isn't much point in showing them on the itch page other than to fill up space.

- And the game got stuck in a white screen after the third level... there weren't any errors in the console and restarting the level/going to main menu did nothing.

- The settings UI breaks if you're in fullscreen and you turn on the browser console

- I completed the game in 3:02

Why grabbing objects suck:

- Your grabbing depends on a constant cursor overlap with the grabbed object. This is bad and awful, pls don't.

- The better way to do this would be to store the object when clicked, and only let go of it when the player is either too far away, or the button is released. This would make grabbing feel way more consistent and how people expect it to behave.

Artstyle:

- The UI and the game has a huge mismatch in style.

- The graphics feel very standard unity template-y, but it's weirdly configured? The bed for example is weirdly too dark on one side.

- I have a feeling that you're using ACES tonemapping, which I would recommend you avoid, because it burns out the bright colors in a weird way and makes everything look like it has too much contrast. Or you just have too much contrast lmao.

- There's also a mismatch of colors between objects, for example the red-ish bed and the green carpet don't work well with eachother imo.

The game is way too easy and I didn't feel challenged at all. The pitch promised me "impossible locations" but they all seemed easily reachable because the cord was almost always long enough to just go directly to the outlet. Only the last few levels required the same "over the wall" strategy which was very obvious to me. This game desperately needs some more thought out puzzle designs because the core idea is great!

Funny physics XD

I love the levels getting more chaotic each time XD

The concept is simple but very fun to play with ^^

I absolutely loved the concept & interactable environment!

Throwing the wire around, using chairs & monitors as "wire scoops" very fun!

Just sometimes had some issue with getting a hold of the wire.

Did have a legendary yeet the wire across 2 rooms into a socket moment! Very speedrunner indeed :P

I really enjoyed this game it was really funny, the concept is great i wasn't a fan of the SFX it felt really annoying, and repetitive (it kinda sounds like popcorn) also the music is really repetitive. overall really enjoyed it also rat reference :)

Really frustrating  fun idea i love this game.

Visual:

The low poly models look great and fit the game perfectly, the cable was a bit buggy and gmod level shaking but really good visuals overall.

Audio:

It was a bit quiet even at 100% but it fit nicely along with the sound effects.

Gameplay:

...

Yeah

Overall:

This is a really good entry, the mouse sensitivity was low for me even at 100% but that's pretty much the only issue i have. Could use more levels. Great Job!
