I liked that the explosive tiles explode at a constant rate, so you know exactly when you can stand on those. The audio is pretty good and the overall assets are pretty consistent. I really liked how you introduced the player to the game mechanics, instantly showing what kinds of traps they will face. I didn't get why after getting all three hearts the girl was still crying. :_)

Awesome music, and fun gameplay! Could see this become longer and longer with more and more trap types if desired to turn into a longer game! It becomes a real timing challenge when trying to avoid the bombs while also having to move to avoid the spikes, nice.
Very simple and solid submission! I actually really liked that the spike traps added an extra level of pressure! How did you make the spikes follow the player?
Reminds me of the StarCraft obstacle course maps, fun game, some more obstacle types would be good.
Really great game. I love the use of the disassemble theme and the art. Took me three tries to beat. Great work!
I loved this challenging game, unique and interesting. Great Job on your first Jam !
This was really hard! The spiral tunnel was definitely the hardest. Congratulations on your first GWJ game, good work!
- Theme: Tie in through the opening screen and narrative
- Fun: I appreciated the challenge of the maze puzzle, it had some interesting timing
- Controls: Movement was responsive, but the hurt box on the character was less forgiving for the player
- Graphics: There was a wide variety of assets and the animated ones were good
- Audio: SFX and music were solid
- A11y: The red flash in particular might be an issue for players sensitive to seizures, you actually may want to consider putting a flashing light warning on the game (not an issue for me personally, but would hate for something to happen)
- Originality: No feedback
Fun little puzzle game, although quite difficult at points! I'd have liked to somehow had the robot being tied to something viable in the girl's dreams a little better, like instead of it being a robot, just have it be her, or a sheep directly or something. All in all, great music and sfx, graphics could probably have been touched up a bit and I agree with GArysTrousers below in that I'd have liked a kinder palette, but the game was fun! I am especially impressed that this is your first jam, very good work! Keep it up!
Thanks! The title "Electric Sheep" is mostly just a reference to the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep", but we didn't really spend much time thinking about the title haha. I appreciate your kind words about the sound and gameplay. Neither CoolRex nor I are artists by any means. We're definitely in the market for an artist for the next game jam. Thanks again and good luck!
Well done on making a very complete game! I would recommend going on lospec for some colour palette ideas to make the colours jell a bit better. Good job!
Great music and sound effects! It is a little on the loud end so you may want to add support for adjusting the audio volumes in the future. I wished it was a little easier because I ultimately kept dying on the puzzle on the right. Would have loved to know what the ending of the game is but it will take me a couple more tries before I can beat it I think. :P
Great job on your first GWJ submission!
