Very nice and polished game! The controls are challenging, the upgrades help, the costs feel balanced. Great graphics and the sound design fits nicely :)

Really enjoyed this game! Clean look, responsive controls, a difficulty selection! I found the game to be a bit hard, but I wanted it to be a bit hard. So I set my time to the lowest for everything. Was gonna aim to get all the upgrades but I wasn't sure if there was any real end or bonus to such an endeavor. But either way, soaked up a decent chunk of my time and I had fun doing it.

Very nicely done. ^^

Impressive !

The overall aestetic of the game is super cool and those scanlines to give it a retro render are just a killer detail ^^ i also like the dynamic music changing between in mission and just chilling to get back to base, gameplay wise the controls feel very solid, i like that you not just did asteroids type controls but added lateral thrusters as well for adjustments, the landing mechanics are also pretty neat.

Don't know what more i could say really, it's a good game :)

I love this games art style and the retro CRT shader enhances and already lovely game! There is a nice balance between the money made on missions and ship upgrades! While this is a small detail, I was actually really excited that the planets had gravity! I know it’s a simple effect, but it was just not something I was actually expecting and it was a really pleasant surprise. I also really like the jokey premise that your character, Capt. Tommy Carrotstalk is a descendant of Johnny Appleseed! Fun little detail to surround the carrot theme :D

My only suggestion… and it’s really only a suggestion because I don’t think there’s really anything I could call a problem of any sort… is, maybe add some “health” to the ship. I know when I was landing on a planet (all of them) I generally came in hard… if that added some damage on the ship, and that the damage could accumulate if I’m trying to get to multiple planets in a mission, then it’d add just that little more of a risk-reward/challenge to the game.

Again, amazing game and very very well done!!

The game was beautifully made, playing in full screen gave me this weird feeling that I loved. The controls were great, the music fit the art very well, and landing on the planets felt amazing. I'm definitely gonna play this one more at some point

Very well polished, great art and music. I wish you could turn a little quicker but it's a minor complaint. It's one of those games where you can't help but reflect on your own abilities as gamedev when playing it :D

I don't know why, but landing on planets is just such a satisfying thing to do - whether or not you're using it to spread the good word of carrots. I liked the clean art style (though it clashed a bit with the shader) and the adaptive music was a nice touch. The gameplay is basic, but it just works; having to land safely and quickly, while avoiding a planet's satellites (and the odd black hole) is just so engaging. Nice work!

I absolutely loved the style of your game. Both audio and graphics were lovely. I also loved the CRT effect. Very nice. Unfortunately, I never figured out what I need to do on my missions. I would reach the planet and then I would die whether I tried landing on the planet, docking with the satellites or anything else.

Also, your web build seems to have issue with Chrome, at least on my machine. This is how it looks:

Firefox was fine though.

Sorry about the Chrome error. I'll see if I can figure out what might be happening there.

The one thing I wish we had more time to do was add a "drop off" tutorial. What the game wants you to do there is land butt-side down on the planet to drop off carrots. Like I said, I regret not having time to fully make a tutorial for that in-game!

Ah, well. We all do what we can in the time that we have.

Wow! Some of the cleanest visuals I've ever seen in a game jam. I love that rounded, flat style. Very cohesive project and a lot of fun.

Very well made game, congratulations. Got me hooked for some time trying to get all upgrades. The fact it saves your progress is a godsend.
