It was a nice game to play. Rather addicting to plant plants, as well as managing your stamina.

Music was nice but went away after a while. The night tended to be too short, which may the bugs not arrive on time.

Overall, nice game.

Very relaxing game, I like the pixel style of a 3d game

Nice and relaxing game. The music is soothing and fits the art style well. Except perhaps for the massive bugs!

Like others, I had a little trouble targeting the tile I wanted for specific actions -- and agree it could work well as a casual mobile game.

Overall, good work I reckon. :)

Developer

Thank you for your feedback :) I do agree that the targeting is a bit challenging. Thank you for also mentioning mobile, I hadn't thought of this but it could be a useful project to get my feet wet.

This is a unique concept and goes together very well with the theme well done!

It's enjoyable to setup a farm and watch it grow, but the day and night systems were weird. It seemed that all of a sudden it would be night and then 5 seconds later day. It would have been nice to be eased into it.

The 3D graphics were good, sounds and music were great as well. The sounds could be a bit better, like walking for instance, you here the same sound over and over again. Would have been nice to play some different walk sounds at random or just randomly set the pitch.

Overall great game a little rough around the edges, but works very well.

Neat little farming game mixed with tower defense (insert "that's quite big" meme for the attacking bugs :p)

i like how you can just freely plant wherever you want on the grid and that simple rightclick to switch to the bugspray mechanic, for some reason when in this mode it made me thing of alone in the dark, i also like the low poly and pixelated res aestetic.

While i enjoyed the game and would have played it a bit longer, i had the game crash at some point :(

Not sure exactly why, but i had a few uncollected crops, a tree not grown yet and 2 to 3 fences, it happened when the bugs spawned in, so maybe there were too many models at once ? not sure cause i haven't tried anything 3d in the engine yet ^^' and i played the Windows build

Appart from the unexpected crash i liked the game itself :)

Developer

Thank you for playing my game! I appreciate all the positive/negative feedback. I was not aware of this crash so I'm glad you've brought it up. It's likely due to some state machine/timers referencing an already freed object. I always have those types of issues with gdscript. I only learned how to use is_instance_valid during this jam.

Hi! I really enjoyed your game. The art and music and overall style worked perfectly together. I found it really relaxing too... I would probably play it for a while on mobile ;)
I would have really liked to be able to till and walk at the same time - my farm was very messy!! Thank you for sharing your lovely game :)

Hey,

nice little game you made. played and rated. I miss sound. I did found a bug, if you press escape while playing you get a pause menu. if you push escape in the other screens (controls, ..) you will also get this pause menu but you can't leave it and you have to kill the game.

please feel free to play and rate my game:

I take back the comment about sound. apparently one of the games killed my sound and I did play some games before I noticed it was my computer and not the game missing sound.

Developer

thanks for following up on the sound issue!

Nice game. I really like the mechanics: very simple too understand but enough possibilities to keep one engaged.

The controls could be better, walking just did not feel right to me, and I struggled placing the fences.

I also loved that the whole screen darkened when bugs were about to come, this built some anticipation :D

Also a little bug (pun not intended) I encountered: When pressing ESC in the Titlescreen the Pausemenu is opened, but you can't leave it unless you close the game.

Developer

Thank you for playing my game and thanks for the constructive feedback, I will focus more on my controls next time!

I really liked it! I love the low-rez art style, the controls are smooth and everything works great. Very fun :)

Submitted

Quite fun! Controls needed some getting used to, to line up grid and killing direction. Nice progression with different tasks. Good job!

I laugh when it appears that HUGE beetle of the farmers size.
Consider equipping player with minigun after 100 fruit trees =)

nice concept and great to see 3d game made in godot, in the short period of time

I read the instructions and figured I'd be shooting some rabbits or something, then those bugs came out at night and surprised me. Good thing we don't have a family dog, or those bugs probably would have ate it :D
Seems like you got a lot in with all these upgrades available. Great work!

Nice entry! Was pretty fun, had a Stardew Valley kinda vibe going. I really liked getting to kill the bugs too. My family starved on day 7 or 8. I was too busy trying to put up fences and wasn't gathering enough... Ooops RIP family XD

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one getting too distracted with placing fences :D

Developer

I'm glad yall liked my fences :) I spent a lot of time getting the preview correct but I'm so glad I did it. I would've done so much more given more time but you know how it goes!
