I loved the game. It's such a weird and beautiful drafted small world, really like how you told a little story and how you transported it with the speech bubbles and the environment.
The art style is great and unique!
The music is amazing - just fits perfectly to the strangeness of the setting and the game mechanic.
Oh yeah - the game mechanic is fantastic - simple but so powerful. My personal highlight was the "growing" mechanic while standing on a pillar and moving the flashlight up. Awesome!

If I want to be picky - the jump was too fast falling and tight for me and some tricky jump parts of the levels have a little bit too small safezones when it comes to the flashlight. Accessibility wise the text was too small, people having sight problems may can't follow the story and the environment hints - an option for way bigger text would be ace.

After all, great, creative and lovely game who nailed the theme. One of my favorite jams games. Great great job! Congrats!

Thank you for your feedback !
And thank you for the advises, it means a lot !

I know the game is a bit difficult, maybe with a bit more time I can try to improve on that, exploring more the puzzle side instead of focusing on the platformer side.

Again, thank you !

Ah no don't get me wrong, I think the difficulty at least for me was totally fine and I loved the platformer parts! Actually i prefer them over the puzzle ones - I just think some of the jumps can be difficult only because the tolerance for the flashlight movement / positioning was very tiny and I think the difficulty should be more about the interaction between player and flashlight - and not focused on how precise I can move the light. I hope this makes it clearer? Sorry not a native speaker. Anyway, great job. :)

Ok I get it !
Thank you a ton for the feedback !

This is a neat idea! I really enjoyed how the music changed with the different levels, and your hole cut shader or how every you are doing the mouse mechanic looks really good and functions really precisely. Good work!

Very fun and a ton of variety!

I already told you on stream, but this game is absolutely wonderful!

The theme is well exploited, the graphics are nice, the sounds and music too. You even took the time to have a nice titlescreen, settings and even a leaderboard! This looks more like a finished game than something made for a jam.

My only complaint is that some of the puzzles require a bit too much precision for my taste. I would prefer you make the execution part less reliant of precision and speed.

Other than that, the puzzles are clever and really cool to figure out. The progression is nice, and the fact that each levels are connected emphasizes the feeling of progression, it’s a nice touch.

I’d love to see this game being taken further. I know you have other puzzle/mechanic ideas, and I think you should go for it and make them! I’d pay for a game like this with more levels.

Huge congrats for your submission! I hope you’ll get in the top 3 :)

Very good! Very creative mechanic you got there, the possibilities for more levels and mechanics are endless. I also absolutely adored how the music kept getting new instruments and tracks layered on top of the previous ones as you advance levels. The graphics were simple and effective, with each level having completely different colors from the previous ones, which makes the visual clarity really good. I didn't had many problems as I played it, it controls well, looks good, sounds even better and the main mechanic is brilliant. Amazing job!

Thank you so much !
See you in the speedrun leaderboard ;)

By the way I saw you were stuck so here is a little bit of help if you want to experience the game further:

Place the light like so and fall down, then move the mouse to the bottom.

This is an amazing title, best use of the theme I’d vote so far! Really clever and well executed, love how seamless the transitions are. And got super hard super quick, forced me to really master those mouse movements. Maybe I’m a novice though at these sorts of games. Really nice how music layered together as you moved from one level to another, was sort of a mini reward on its own for each progression.

I did notice a couple times my mouse (in the HTML build) would get out of sync with the actual flashlight highlight, and I’d have to nudge it around the screen to get centered again so I could still place the circle anywhere in the level.

Thank you a ton for the feedback !

Concerning the mouse, this issue happens only on the HTML version and is due to a browser overlay.
2 solutions:
- Click the game so your cursor get captured into it which is how it is supposed to be played.
- Download the game, everything should work just fine.

Again, thank you!

Fair enough regarding the HTML version! I had a slew of problems myself making the HTML build work as I expected so I totally get that. Nice work again, and thanks for sharing those two workarounds.

I loved the game, the levels were fun, the mechanic which took you fomr one level to another seamlessly was just lovely. Challenges though difficult were doable even for a novice like me. Great job!

Thank you so much !
I tried my best to tweak the learning/difficulty curve, I'm so happy you enjoyed playing !

Great stuff, really engaging, the jump would have been better as up arrow, but apart from that, it's a clever game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you !
I recommend to play with A and D or Q and D depending on the keyboard layout.
I'll post a fix with W an UpArrow as alternatives jump commands.

BRAVO !
