I like the graphics/universe a lot !
The story you're telling is also interesting, this game is an art piece in my opinion !
I had a bug with the bees at first, they were fixed with some weird rotation and scale.
Anyways, a surprising introspective game that I would recommend !
Thank you very much, means a lot too!
Yeah the bees are buggy sometimes, I need to fix that. Didn't had time to polish the code and I thought okay its good enough haha.
No problem ! ;)
What an incredible game! I don't have any words. It was poetry in motion. You touch on something really deep inside what it means to be human and I loved it. It's so sad, but so hopeful. Beautiful game.
My heart is full from this game, from the nicely done pixel art to the fitting music, the way the mechanic changes and the puzzle shift around it, the thought provoking narration--and all while nailing the theme exactly. Incredible work. I really am at a loss for words after that.
This is my favorite game from this jam. I feel like I will live a better life having played this game. Thanks for sharing this game with everyone!
What can I say? This is simply the best submission so far (I still have 13 games to play). You fit the theme perfectly, the visuals are really great, the music is good the controls are fine (a bit hard sometimes).
I already told you on twitter, but this can totally be a commercial game. I loved the story and the way you told it to us through both the text and the gameplay. It was a moving experience.
I think you’re going for first place, at least in my ranking!
Huge congrats for your submission!
This means a lot! Thank you so much for the kind words, the support and that you played my game!
Definitely a game that deserved its own category, congratulations to everyone involved. Art direction was amazing, animation and art was also really good, I really like the details, the flowers blooming as we walk through, the falling snow, the animated baby drawings, the clouds and smoke, small graphical details like this that we often have to work a lot on to make them look good and that we always feel like no one will notice (at least I have this nagging feeling when I'm working on those, as a VFX/shader guy myself). The music is amazing, couldn't fit this atmosphere better even if you tried. I did had some trouble with the gameplay though, not being able to do short hops didn't mesh well with the tight platforming it required, especially when paired with the slipperiness of the character. We also couldn't safely move to the edges without sliding down, it felt like the character had a round hitbox that could slip through those edges. It was also weird how you didn't need to step on the clouds before their timer would start to cause them to poof away, you just need to touch them even from underneath, so if you misjudge the reach of your jump and manage to get there, they're almost out of time to be solid. Not sure if any of those were intentional to make the game more difficult, but they did caught me off guard, not sure if it's the best way to go when making a platformer. But all of these problems pale in comparison to everything else you got right. Congratulations again everybody, you did an amazing job!
Hi Rafael, thanks for this very kind and detailed review and the valueable feedback. That you noticed all the little details makes me very very happy, as you said, sometimes those little details are the best and give some more depth to a game but are often overlooked. That you enjoyed the game so much is great, thanks again for playing. The music is made by a friend of mine and I'll let him know that you like it so much. I'm sure he would be happy to do some music for a game of yours too if someday you need a track.
As for the things you didn't like so much about my game - I totally agree on all of them. Some of them I noticed myself already or went into feedback of my brothers who playtested the game (like the clouds) but I honestly couldn't polish them time wise in the end. I was already crunching a little bit. I'll fix them once the Jam is over. :)
I’m blown away by this piece, it actually emotionally moved me. The moment of moving to a slow walk after the death of a loved one (which you can interpret literally or more metaphorically of course) really got to me. It had a great pace and had lots of amazing little details: pressing space had a heartbeat, taking a wrong turn in the adult, cloud-shrouded maze meant you could get stuck [in life], and I guess that children over tech-exposed if their first crayon-drawn symbols include stars, flowers, and the sign for emails?? ;)
The meditation sequence was a nice twist and just worked nicely. I also love the intrinsic meaning of birthday cakes being checkpoints, wow, not sure I can think of another game where there was such actual weight and meaning to a checkpoint. Loved it.
Nit: a control to slide or disable audio is always a plus, that being said, it’d be a right shame to not listen to the music on this one. Also I think the wavey text could be toned down a little bit or made still for the smallest text font used.
Beautifully said! Birthday cakes were amazing detail, and the fact that if you lost, you started again with a cake, could signify a new year struggling with the same problem. Maybe it took you just one year to past one part, it took me five. Love that detail!
Yoo that you guys go so deep on my game makes me sooo happy!!! Thank you!
Only admiring a work of art, grateful to have experienced it. Thanks for sharing!
Wow what an amazing review! Thank you so much! It's a very great feeling when players immerse and dive so deep into the game story and details like you did - this was really my goal and it makes me happy to actually emotionally move people with what I do. That's the biggest compliment, thanks again.
Next update -> control slider for the audio, you are very right with pointing that out!
Lovely and beautiful game.
what a great concept and how well executed, loved the deepness of it and was interesting to see the changes from start to finish. good job tho
What impresses me more, is how much effort you put on a jam game, with this deepness! you’re awesome dude!
Thanks dude - you're awesome too!
FANTASTIC PIXEL ARTWORK! this game was amazing! 2 things i hated were the clouds and the platforms that kinda blended together, otherwise fantastic work! the controls and such were great
What a gem.
Such a phenomenal game, fantastic take on the theme, making so much use of the mechanics. Congratulations and thanks for sharing! Everything was so well integrated. My personal favorite were the crawling/walking parts. So sweet!

Thanks so much for your feedback - Just seen your stuff on Twitter and played your game, awesome pixel art! If you ever up for a collab on a small game in the future let me know :)
Wow, that is a great offer!
Currently working with aurora on a project this month, but yeah, I'd be more than happy to!
Reall good, hate the A & D controls(each to their own) the rest I love, good work.
Thanks a lot! I wanted to include the arrow keys as alternatives but eventually forgot it. Sorry haha. Thanks for playing anyway. :)
Definitely a front runner! Great job!
