A great and original mechanic here! The controls are very consistant and the graphics and plot are very interesting.

Congrats! It's a great job!

The lack of sounds is the only bad thing worse noticing. Very good game, with quite more depth that you initally suspect

This was fun to play! I like the artstyle, and I find the magic system really interesting, good job!

Btw I totally understand for the html5 compatibility problem... I had to redo a lot of things last minutes.

I really liked the magic system design! It was well explained, linked to the story and themed! I think maybe the enemies have a bit a lot of HP (I made many, many clicks :-)), but the concept is great! With a little tweaking in the combat system (and maybe controller support) you can expand it to a great game!

This was fun :)

I like the vector art, really reminded me of good old flash games.

Gameplay wise i really enjoyed the fact that you made this mouse/keyboard playable so that the aiming is really precise, i also like the inventory system and the diary entries in between levels and the fact that items like runes get entries in there after you encountered them as if your character did research on them in the downtime between levels.

Personally i didn't have any particular issue with your game, but i'm just curious because you mentioned that this html version didn't really reflect what you intended.

Anyway, well done :)

I have particle effects in the game that just don’t seem to work well in the web version, that includes all the spells, a swarm of flies and death clouds in the later levels of the game,  and the game got really choppy so I reduced scattered scenery.  I was just feeling really down because I wanted to add more sounds but instead needed to butcher my game just to get it to run in the browser.   So thank you and everyone else for your kind words, it's helping me to feel a little bit better about the project.

I can totally understand that so no problem, sometimes web versions do impose some limitations and it can also introduce problems that were inexistent in other versions, had these issues for some past entries, but no worries you shouldn't feel bad about your game regarding these are these are some factors you can't really do anything about or anticipate that they would be issues untill the game is uploaded :)

I really like the shooting effect. Made me feel so badass. Also, the diary that appears between the levels is a really good cherry on top! Good job!

Okay, this is pretty darn cool, the systems at place have a lot more depth than I initially though (I like how you can powerup your magic skills with whatever runes you pick up and they definitely change the feel of the spell). A lot of enemy variety as well.

The only issue I have is the lack of sound effects when fighting enemies.

Your game is good how it is, of course, but you can make a good rogue like/lite from this game. I already saw this type of gameplay (but I do not remember in wich game right now) and it's always a pleasure. The DA is orignal, I like it. Well done.

100 times better than mine.

Sadly this game did not convert well to HTML 5,  after the game jam I’ll release a standalone version for anyone interested in playing this game the way it was meant to be.
