Awesome game, good use of the theme and the gameplay was very satisfying once I got the run going. Good job :D

This is the most fun i've had playing a game jam game. Was super polished and the disenchantment mechanic was very nice. Good work

Loved how I ended up with this incredibly overpowered Uzi with a bunch of special effects, felt really good! The shotgun also felt really nice and the disenchantment mechanic is interesting. Really cool game, thoroughly enjoyed.

Very smooth and well-polished game!

Very nice game! great art and fun gameplay. sometimes I got trapped amidst the enemy swarm and couldn't get out, also I would raise the amount of bullets you have.

Anyways, really fun!

The game feels really polished and the art was great and while not made by you the music was a good choice. Finding the dices within these containers(Don't know how they're called in English) was better than most other games did it. Just two complaints:

  1. Sometimes you pick up stuff that quickly that you just have to click through 4 pop up windows
  2. Negative Health being displayed after a game over. Maybe clamp that value to not be under 0 as it looks weird
Developer (2 edits)

Yeah, I agree that the pop ups are kinda annoying. I think I'll try to decrease the number of drops or change them so that the game doesn't pause every 5 seconds. The negative health thing is also something I'll fix, it was just something i didn't find too bothersome at the time so i never bothered changing it during development.

(Also who said the music wasn't made by me? I made the music, just not during the 48 hour period :). Thanks for saying you liked i though!)

Thanks for the nice comments and the criticism!

Oh yeah. Sorry for the music thing. I just looked and saw "No, we used pre-existing audio".  I just thought: Ok, pre-existing audio from some library. I forgot that there were only these two options you can set.

Developer

It's ok, just thought it was funny

Really fun twin stick shooter. You got a ton in within the 48 hours so the game feels really nice to play. The weapon swapping is balanced nicely where its a valid decision to choose to keep or swap  rather than one being the obvious answer. Definitely would be able to keep playing for a very long time especially with the 3 stages and many different kinds of enemies you  implemented

edit* also just saw youre a solo dev. great job making everything!

Developer

Thank you, noticed our games are quite similar so it means a lot!

I love a twin stick shooter! The pixel art was great, the boss fight was challenging, there was a good amount of juice, I'm generally pretty impressed with the amount you pulled of for a weekend jam. One little detail I liked was the 'vhs rewind' audio distortion when you reloaded after dying. Little touches like that add so much. Overall fantastic job!

This game is incredible! The variety of weapons, upgrades and perks makes each time playing this interesting. You could make this into a fun rogue-like game (it already reminds me of Enter the Gungeon a lot). The only problem I had was that the way I died often felt very unfair, I would get essentially one-shot even if I had levelled up and had full HP.

Developer

Yeah, balancing is hard in 48 hours, If I do a full release, the balncing is one of the first things I'll fix! Thanks super much for the nice comment though!

"You're stupid if you think I'll switch from my triple-shot minigun-speed warhead-spewing RPG to any other weapon" - I thought to myself, until I saw a Dragon Shotgun...

Wonderful game! I really love the new wave of bullet hell games like 20 Minutes Tol Dawn and Vampire Survivors, and I just love to see an example of one on this jam. The dice system is nice and well-implemented, I only wish I could choose a weapon slot I'll be disenchanting. Because again, when I have shotgun-fire-fire-fire-nuke RPG, in no world I will take a 40% chance of losing a precious upgrade. Also I didn't really understand what an upgrade with a stealth-like icon did. Apart from minor problems with AI navigation, which made a ton of enemies hide in other rooms and get stuck on obstacles, I love everything about this game! Great job!

Developer

Thank you, Glad you had fun! Yeah I agree, the disenchantment system is a bit flawed, I wanted to add a risk-reward system and didn't really know how. It was hard trying to make the navigation AI, it's 100% something I'll work on if I do a full release. Thanks again for the kind words and the constructive criticism!

Awesome game!

Its really engaging! We have been playing for like an hour!

Would like to see a full version of this!

The only thing we wish was different is that the stats that level up were the characters, not the guns so we could maybe change them without the feeling of loosing progresion.

Other than that, is one of the best entries we played so far!

This is my favorite jam game I have played so far. Incredible work! (When you win, the menu's don't really work, but that's par for the course with jam games.) This is insanely impressive!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much for the nice comment. Yeah I noticed, the menus are a bit broken, don't know if it's because it's in the browser or what, but I'll try to fix it if I do a full release!

the most fun game that I played here so far. Great job! Art is good as well.

Developer

Thank you! It means a lot to me!

Great game, it reminds me of "enter the gungeon"

Great game! Would play a full version of this :)

Congratulations!

A great example of how good mechanics and polish can make an excellent game, felt really nice to play and the upgrades and items were easy to understand. Apart from some pathfinding issues, I think you could either buff or remove weapon drops beyond a certain point they feel useless as rewards, definitely gave me vampire survivors vibes. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for the nice comment! Yeah the pathfinding is a bit broken, and I do agree that weapon drops do get a bit annoying after a while. I'll definetely try to fix these problems if I decide to do a full release! Thanks!

Great little shoot em up! Really enjoyed this, nice job!

Very well done game! I managed to get an OP SMG + Multibullets + Explosion combo and insta killed the boss. Had a lot of fun doing it!

Developer

Haha thank you! Yeah, you can get some pretty wacky combos

Submitted(+1)

Nicely polished. Reminded me of Vampire Survivors, but with more Player Agency. A game interesting enough that I'd be interested in playing a fully developed version for a bit.

Developer

You're not the only one asking for a fully developed version of this game and I am considering making a full release of it! Thank you for the nice comment and your input!
