A nice little fun game. Thank you for providing a small how-to-play page. Whenever a person's profile indicates that they love soccer, I instantly give them the highest dice bar of 6 :D Cool game, well done!

Thanks a lot for playing!

I knew the soccer personality would be nice! Looks like it was a good decision =)

This is a nice simple game! I like the mechanics and descrpitions and overall its a really solid game!

Great game! I enjoy this game, Impressive game in such a short time. Great job!

Feel free to check my game if you want to challange your brain muscle!

Developer

Thanks a lot playing!

Will surely check yours out :)

Simple idea, and excellent job having clear instructions. Would love keyboard shortcuts rather than being purely mouse driven.

Also, although game idea is fine, there isn't really enough content to make getting all the way to 2500 that interesting. It quickly begins to repeat. More personalities, and more types of actions for the player would go a long way.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing!

I had a lot of stuff planned to do such as more personalities and some minigames/powerups but as usual this was all I was able to in the the limit :(

Submitted(+1)

Great idea and its really cool that you added a tutorial as this makes understanding the game better

Developer

Thanks a lot! I was debating on whether to make a tutorial or focus on more personalities... Turns out the tutorial was a good idea =)

Submitted(+1)

I love the idea! The execution could be better, but you wanted to achieve really came across!

The gameplay feels a bit bland right now since you see a lot of personnalities repeating after some time, but it's a game jam after all, so nothing surprising.
That said, your game is the only one I played to come with an idea like this. It definitely has potential. ^^

The visuals are pretty cool, I liked the repeating background and the music, this game has its own identity.

All in all, a fun experience, with a great concept behind! Good job! =D

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing!

I am very much aware that the execution could be better, but I ran out of time ;(

I wanted to add more personalities too but by the time I built the game for the 2nd time, the deadline got over...

Submitted(+1)

Ouch, that's unfortunate :c

But don't worry, it happens a lot! Our team wanted to have much more done within our game too, and we ended up with a battle system with 0 player feedback, making a lot of players confused in the end ^^'

But at least, you published a game, even with a shorter deadline, not everyone can say that! =)

This is a reallllllly neat idea.  Super super cool.  And obviously, within a game jam, fleshing out lots of details is going to be impossible because - no time.

That being said, I feel like the score was a bit too high for a "win" state.  By 1500 I got the premise completely and it was just a grind to see what happens if you win.  Game jams are both made quick and often played quick.  Without something "else" going on (different sets of information, some sort of storyline, etc), I did not feel motivated to continue to the win, other than as a way to see more of the game to get feedback.

Despite the hefty space it took up on my comment, it's by no means a major issue - just something to consider moving forward. =)  This was well done and I hope you are proud of yourself! =)

Thanks a lot for the review!

Thanks a ton for the extremely in-depth review on the game on what I could do better! Didn't really get to properly play-test the game during the development time, hence the overly big score to win, I am sorry got that!

I was initially really proud of this game, because I only had 25 hours to make and i managed to actually make a game... After i submitted the proudness did reduce a bit because i started playing others' games and i realized how much superior they were compared to mine

But reading the reviews the game got the proud feeling started to come back and I'm again proud of what i accomplished!

Submitted(+1)

You should feel proud of what you did, 100%!
Some of the games you are seeing are done by teams who had everything line up for them just right.   Some are done by people who legitimately just *do* game jams well - this isn't to take from them at all - kudos to them... but some of us are mortal, yo.
We all do our best when we are at our best, and we don't when we aren't.
Given what happened with your first attempt (ouuuccccchhhh) - the point that you pulled together and submitted AT ALL is SUPER impressive.  I would have sat there and cried until time ran out haha.  I frequently end up fulfilling the role of "moral support" on my team when my health acts up. =) Nothing to be ashamed us, we just roll with the punches (hehe, roll, dice theme... hehe).

And even with limited time and a set back and all the emotional nonsense THAT would all bring - you brought the world something that is genuinely fun and got my brain spinning with all the ways you could play off of this concept.  That's so cool!  I'm majorly impressed. =)

Enjoy feeling proud of yourself. =) You deserve it - 100%.

Thanks a lot dude! This comment made my non existant self-esteem roll into existence (More puns ;))

I really appreciate you taking the time to actually encourage people to continue no matter what! Hats off to you dude 👏

Cool game! It takes a while to get the hang of, and the tutorial is a bit of an information overload, but once you get into the rhythm of it, it becomes really fun! Great work!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the review!

I should have probably thought of the tutorial being a bit much, but  I really didn't have time... Sorry!

I enjoyed the Papers Please aesthetic of the game. Good work!

Developer

Thanks a ton!!

Submitted(+1)

So much clean! I really like these types of games. I think you should make a full game once the jam is finished

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing!

This is the best idea for a game I have had in a while :,) So I will most probably continue it and keep on updating it!

Submitted(+1)

It's a really unique idea, it's refreshing to see! I like the Paper Please vibe, and the descriptions are cute and fun.

It's already been said but yes, the score to reach to end the game is probably too high.

But congratulation!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing!

During the dev phase, I set it at 2500 thinking that it would be the right amount... But only once I actually played it on Itch.io did I realize it was way too much... By the time I changed it and built the game the deadline was up :(

Submitted(+1)

This is a neat little game! Congrats on making it!

Developer

Thanks a lot!

Nice little game. Enjoyed the your idea of making a papers please type game using dice which is very creative to see. I enjoyed the simplicity but it did feel quite repetitive since there wasn't that much to do. I understand you only had two days to make this and if given enough time a papers please type game would be nice to see. Still an enjoyable experience. Good luck on the jam!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a ton!

Only after I playtested the game at the end of jam did I realize it was too long, sorry ;(

I didn't have 2 days to make the game sadly... I initially had started a different project but 18 hours in the project files got corrupted... So I really only had like 25 (including my sleep) or so hours to make the game

Submitted(+1)

That just makes it even more impressive that you made a good game in even less time. I wish you luck!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it

Submitted(+1)

Very cool game that utilizes the them in such an original way. My only wish is that it was shorter or that the concept was taken further.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the review!

I really wanted to take the game further but the time limit was just so tiny for me as I didn't even know how to jam properly yet...

Submitted(+1)

Neat little concept that harkens to games like "Papers Please". A little too long for the amount of content so gets repetitive quite quickly (Maybe 500 is enough). Fav thing about it is the sound design choice. Very simple but discordant notes that make things seem tense even with very little else happening at any given moment.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing

I didn't really get time to Play-test the game, so the max popularity limit was a bit too high...

I originally created the music in much higher pitch and it was really fast paced... but when I entered unity I accidentally changed the pitch of the song instead of the volume... It sounded much better this way than the original so I left it be :)

Submitted(+1)

I wonder if there's an objective or progression to this game? I'm at 840 popularity but nothing special is happening.

Developer (1 edit)

You technically win the game at 2500 popularity, thinking back on it i realize its too high.. But thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

the looks could be better but its a unique approach to the theme. well done

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing!

I am well aware that the art could be better, but firstly I suck at art and secondly I had to create all the art in under hour...
