Great art.
Nice game. Amazing graphics. Please check out my game.
Very fun game with cool mechanics, also the art is really cool! Good job!
I enjoyed the presentation, I really felt like I was in the story with the music and sound effects! Interesting mechanics with the dice and loved how intertwined the dialogue was with your roll. Can't wait to see what happens next for this game :)
I would appreciate if your team would check out my submission and provide any feedback you have, I am trying to gauge interest to see if I should continue further development too!
When you click on the answers early, the UI freezes. Otherwise, the best game I've seen so far. 5/5 in all criteria.
Nice graphics, and the game idea kinda reminds me of the one we did for last year. Sadly, it seems to have the same problem, meaning it's very hard to figure out which answers will have a positive or negative impact.
I love the premise, the art is great and the dialogue is fascinating (however sometimes it seemed like Lady Luck replies with a random phrase rather than the one suitable for the context), but for the love of god I wasn't able to figure out how the game works. Why does 4, I believe, lose to a pair of glasses? What kind of die does Lady Luck roll? Should I keep my stats high? Why and how do they change all the time? Still, great job!
I think each round reset your stats. The dice merely modify it for that round. Dice 1 is the number, Dice 2 is the modify type (One of three stat, each with a + or a -). So a 2 Glasses (with a minus) is -2 to INT score that round. So for your example, 4 didn't lose to glasses. It was "4" & "INT minus". The +/- symbol are quite small. The reset probably exists to balance it out, so a few minuses don't permanently ruin your run.
You then need to try to match the dialogue option to the stat it represents, if your stat is high enough it wins the round. Win enough rounds to reach $30 and you win by paying for her meal.
Oh wow, and here I was thinking I'm rolling a red cube against Lady Luck's white cube all this time. I saw the required stat type after the dialogue, but was the exact number needed specified somewhere? Or is it more of a intuition thing?
You picked the dialogue based on your assumption on which stat it was linked to - and then it showed you which stat the dialogue actually was. I think if I got above a 6 for that stat it passed - but that was never shown explicitly.
You nailed on how the dice and dialog options work! The options are spread between 3 and 7 on their particular stat, with some options being higher and others lower.
The dialogue is well written and entertaining, and I looove the art for Lady Luck's sprites! She radiates elegance! (The sprite with the dog got me though ahaha) Overall the visuals came out great and the gameplay of dialogue options was fun too, the dice having a + and - was a helpful visual touch when it came to understanding how it worked. Lovely entry!
Love the art and dialogue! The portrait with the fox holding the gun is especially inspired.
This is a fun concept, though I tried losing to see what would happen and the game just kept going even as I kept picking my weakest stat.
Great art, very atmospheric. Interesting gameplay, would be cool to see it developed further.
The art is pretty stellar in this entry. I'm honestly a bit fuzzy on the exact mechanics here, but I ended up paying so I suppose I won. Props to whoever came up with the dialogue in this game, though. Great job!
The art is AMAZING! I also really like the idea winning the game by paying the bill instead of having someone paying the bill for you.
Cool art and intressting gameplay idea. Though my game glitched out so I never saw who payed in the end )=
Fun date night AND I got to pay!
I really like this game. Browser build +1 and the game had and interesting gameplay loop making me want to finish it and see all the dialogue. If I had to give one complaint it would be that the game seems to be about as hard to win as it is to lose. Overall I love the art and design and I think you people did a really good job.
