This game is fantastic!  Within 20 seconds I knew I was going to play it until the end.  I was going to absorb all that it had to offer.  That's a stunning achievement in a game jam.  I thought it captured the very essence of the jam.  It was very well presented and polished.  It was clear, it was fun!  Definitely, one of the best games I've played in the jam and I've played over 100 so far.  Thanks!

Developer

Awesome! Thanks so much for playing our game, and glad you liked it!

Oh cool, it's like a clicker game, but with strategy. Actually that's what RPGs always were, innit? Anyway, beat the game in 23 days.

Developer

Thanks for playing our game! You did better than I did during development. I always seemed to finish in the 25-28 day mark XD

Simple but well made, very polished and good use of pre-existing art. Nails that "one more floor" mentality

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad we were able to get you hooked with it.

Love the decisions in the game, feels good to go back again and see how quickly you can make your way down. The shopkeep has fun dialogue!

Developer

Thank you for playing! The shopkeeper's dialogue was probably my favorite part of the game to work on.

Excellent presentation. Loved the music. Fantastic game. To provide some feedback, I wish there was more decision making at the end of each fight like what loot to take or something similar. Finding loot other than materials would be nice as well. A death in the dungeon would have much more consequences if I lose a cool sword I found.

Hope the feedback helps! Hope you build upon this idea as I really enjoyed it. I got some Death Loop vibes for sure.

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! We definitely discussed having the player lose their equipment or receive some penalty on a failed dungeon attempt, but we ultimately decided to go with a more relaxed approach to try and fit the typical playtime for a game-jam game. I think it would be excellent to revise it if we expanded it into a larger game, though!

Great presentation! I'm not one for auto battlers but this was quick and well polished enough that I made it to the end! I like the interpretation of the theme although it'd be better if there was more reason to push ahead other than trying to finish in the fewest number of days.

Developer

Thanks for playing! We actually didn't set out to make into as much of an idle game as it ended up being, but game jams be game jams, I guess. Glad you enjoyed it enough to make it to the end!

I don't usually like auto-battle, but I can hardly stop in this game.

Developer

Glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!

Great concept with a good amount of polish. I especially liked the little dialogue lines by the shopkeeper(?). It was slightly hard to see the dice mechanic at work though, even though I knew it was happening. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! We definitely bantered about making the dice rolls a bit more visual, but we couldn't quite figure out a way to do it without slowing the combat down (that and we ran out of time before we had to move on to polishing). Writing dialogue for the shopkeep was definitely my favorite part of the development process.

Really cool little game with a simple mechanic that makes me want to see how far I can get. Nice work!

Solid little press-your-luck game :)

Great job making this! I loved the focus on risk and rewards. I think it could have been helpful to start the player in the shop, so that way they could immediately have an understanding of how many materials everything cost to obtain.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Looking back at my notes, I think we actually did want to start the player at the shop, but I think we lost that thread as we drew closer to submission. Definitely an improvement for version 2, though, should it be made!

Hey, cool game! I ended up playing it for longer than I set out to, which is always a good sign. It would have been nice to see the dice more obviously involved (I know they were behind the weapon damaged, but it would have been good to see them), and the start of the game was a bit abrupt, but the core gameplay loop worked really well. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad we were able to hook you into it. We definitely considered making the dice rolls a bit more obvious, but we couldn't figure out the best way to do so without slowing down combat. At least not in the limited time we had for the jam. We can probably blame the slightly abrupt start on that as well XD

💎 Pretty cool auto-battler smashed with a dungeon crawler! I just wish the dice theme was more integrated into it. Other than this fun idle game that I would definetly have running on my phone. 💙
