It seems like a lot of people had a very similar idea, but brilliant execution really sets this game apart from all the rest. I like how it limits the playing space, so you can really focus on the solving the puzzles and understand how they work instead of mindlessly rolling around and brute-forcing your way through. It also has plenty of additional mechanics to spice up the further levels, compared to other games, which keeps you engaged. Also the amount of said mechanics and levels for 48 hours is truly an amazing feat.

Thank you. That's nice to hear.

Really nice level design. It's amazing that you were able to make 24 lvls and the the mechanics that are added as you progress through the levels really help to keep the game fresh and exciting so you don't get bored of it so easily. It's a shame there are a bunch of these same types of games in this game jam otherwise it was great!

Developer

I had a strict rule to only introduce new stuff every 3rd level and focus the 2 in between on the new mechanic.
So for most of the levels I had some idea what to do. The rest was "do a thing some time, place an obstacle, do another thing, now place the goal". I'm amazed at how good that worked.

Similar idea to what we did, loved the implementation!

It's a simple idea, but there are also very clever mechanics, and I love the puzzle design! The controls are a bit confusing when it's diagonal though. Otherwise, very good job

It's always a good sign that someone uses the same concept that 90% used it already.

The player movement couldn't be any slower.

There is a lot of levels, so it looks promising.

90% of a game's quality is the execution.  I've also seen many games like this but every game had something unique that made the experience worth it. :)

In my playthrough, almost everything that I played that are like this are the same thing at best.

Really unique game idea ! Simple and fun , Good Suff :)))

Developer

Yes, very unique. Only about half of the other games use it. That's basically nothing. :))))

The introduction to new mechanics was great.

Very fun puzzle game. Love the variety of mechanics within the game which make things very interesting as you go through the levels and it doesn't turn bland. It's amazing that you finished this in just 2 days. Don't know if it was intentional or not but it's quite hard knowing which side of the dice has which value but I didn't think that it was that much of a problem more like a knitpick for an overall enjoyable game. The simplistic 3d art style was a nice touch for the game and I think it fitted quite well for the theme. Good luck on the jam!

The opposite numbers on a normal dice always add up to 7. So you always know where the numbers are right now but translating that to 5 or so moves into the future is pretty hard. But I think that is just a property of puzzle games where the player character is part of the puzzle instead of just walking around.

I really like the mechanics added later in the game. It really spiced up the gameplay in a nice way. Great work :)

Developer

Thanks, I made it really easy to add mechanics so I just added more until I ran out of Ideas.

The puzzles are really cool!

I think the puzzle mechanics are quite nice, despite me not fully understanding them yet. I gave up on level 9 :l

Developer

There is a help page you can look at if the mechanics are unclear.

I really enjoyed the puzzle elements you put in here, and the level design and ramp up in difficulty is handled really well! It's a small thing, but I think the image/symbol you use for the single-direction-exit tiles (the blue with the arrow pointing to the center) is a bit busy and confusing. Maybe a solid large blue arrow could do the same trick and be easier to look at, while still being distinct from the double arrow spin launcher symbol that you use.

Awesome work!

This is a great game, that kinda reminds me of solving a rubiks cube with the numbers you're supposed to have and the one's you cant. Great puzzle game!

You realy should add arrows explaining whitch controlls rotate in whitch direction. I got stuck in lvl 3. It is hard to rotete the dice the way it is suposed to be rotated. Maybe add a tutorial on how to pass the lvl's. Also when you try to move outside movable area the move count counts it as a move even tho it didnt move.

Developer

It is not that hard to remember the buttons. It is just WASD but rotated a bit.
I guess I could make a walkthrough if it is that bad. If you go to the main menu you can skip levels if that helps.

difficult but nice

I made it to level 9, but got stuck for some time :( Dicey puzzles is the next game I wanna have on my mobile puzzle games collection :) Good job my friend.

Developer(+1)

Thanks. I wanted to implement touch support but ran out of time so sadly no mobile version, yet.

This by far the hardest I have found out of these types. Well done!

Incredible puzzle design!!
The puzzles were really hard but still doable, I felt smart most of the time even though sometimes it would get really frustrating. It still an amazing concept with great puzzles for a jam.
Good job !
