I were a little bit confused at start,  but after I managed to get to the idea about amount I loved it. Good one! And the visual is great too. Reminds me of old Harry Potter's games on playstation one or something +)

Awesome concept! I really liked the presentation and gameplay. Great job!

Really enjoyed this game! Was fun to play and a nice challenge to dodge everything when you have the right number - was an intense feeling! Really enjoyed the animations and the level design. Also the game looked great as well!

Hey, another game about rolling your dice down a dice tower and manipulating the result!! I mean, our games are very different but in my mind they are now sisters hehe.

I really enjoyed this!! The game is so charming, with high quality assets and a very cute falling animation. I love how the gameplay frantically switches between trying to hit the green obstacles and trying to avoid obstacles altogether once you get a good roll. All around great stuff.

Nice! looks good

Wow, visually it looks amazing :) It is a different and interesting concept falling down the tower to roll the best number. Maybe I would use all the rolls in the tower as a score, like this, it seems like I am just skipping the whole level and trying to hit the green section on the bottom :/

But overall good game :)

This was a very unique take on the game! The graphics were great, but sound effects would have made it easier to know when you hit something. I liked the character animations. Many times my character rolled, but it didn't look like it hit anything. Also, if the camera followed the character a little closer, it would have been easier to know what's going on. Good job!

Really cool game and fun concept! It feels a lot fresher to be falling down instead of moving sideways funnily enough! The visuals also looked very fun and the going in and out of focus with each bounce gave it a lot of depth! But sadly, I too had no sound except for a low whistling sound...
Still I had a lot of fun playing!

A fun concept, albeit pretty frustrating at times, especially the later levels. It looks gorgeous, it plays fantastic, but the lack of sound makes it feel a little empty. Still, excellent little game.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Could you elaborate on what frustrated you? :)
We were short on time so we opted for "no sound" instead of "not so good sound", but we would love to do it properly as a post jam update!

ah, frustration was mostly coming down the entire tower and just having the random number generator deny you a successful run.

Really nice game! A really good variant on dropper where you don't only need to get to the bottom but can utilize the tower terrain to solve another goal before you get there. I found it was really fun to play + the visuals were great. The number goal to progress was something I didn't really know I had to do at first. I was just going for 20s since I thought it would give me a better overall score.

Developer

Yep, displaying the difficulty is our number one prority for post-jam ;) (but yeah, 20's give a better score at the end)
Thanks for playing, glad you had fun!

One of the few I played all the way through, really great design! I also think that showing the DC for the level at the start/throughout might be useful, otherwise it feels like you're just smashing into everything aiming at a 20 until you get it. Overall though this one was a blast!

First of all, absolutely gorgeous !

And then the game is very fun too, it controls easily and the concept is quite unique, the game shines the best on the last levels. The only issue I had with the game is that I didn't understood at first that I had to roll a certain amount when going in the exit, I just dropped fast and got lucky lol. Maybe a message popping at the start of the fall saying "Roll a 15 or more!" would fix that.

But when I understood that I really had fun on the two last levels, nice game here :)

My fav game I've tried so far prob!! Im a sucker for nice 3D graphics, and its just a great spin on like a runner type game. With some nice sound this would be even more of a banger 👍👍

This was a pretty literal take on the theme, and it was interesting. Once I figured out that the name of the game was to bounce until you get a high dice value, then avoid obstacles as much as possible, I found it fun.

The viewing angle did make it hard to see when obstacles were coming up, as other people have commented. It would also have been nice to see beforehand what the difficulty rating was at the start of the level, instead of only finding out at the end.

Overall, nice job!

Hi!

Do you think that the tutorial could be improved to make this clearer or was it enjoyable to discover a strategy?

Regarding the difficulty rating, our initial goal was to mimic some aspects of a tabletop experience (D&D for example), where the situation is explained to you (like "roll to see if you can jump over the river" or "You try to nail a legendary arrow shot through the demon's helmet") but you don't know the actual difficulty beforehand...It indeed doesn't help that we didn't have time to include the narrative bit as we wanted initially ^^

Thanks for playing, happy you had fun !

Maybe if the player had to fall for a little bit of stage after the tutorial section, and then be prevented from completing it until they passed a threshold, that would have communicated more quickly what the intent was. As it was, I didn't realize it until midway through the second level; I basically blind-lucked my way through the first stage. :P

Agreed, having some narrative elements might have helped explain it. I'm still thinking, from a game perspective, knowing the target number (or some threshold) would be useful. Otherwise, I'm just trying to hit 18-20 as much as  I can. (Though that might be your intent, which I would respect.)

Really fun and creative!

It's a bit hard to see the oncoming obstacles sometimes.

Developer

You're right, we could probably improve this with better level generation rules, or tweaking the camera or the lighting maybe. Thanks for your feedback :)
