You didn't like our chicken metronome? ^^' Jokes aside you're right, the challenge you mention has been one we have tried to improve since the beginning, and we're not 100% there yet (the staff changes color on beat too, if that helps).

Very glad you found the groove!

Yeah, the fine-tuning of it is very challenging: it took us a few days to have it working OK, and months to have it exactly the way we wanted (including re-writing parts of the maths themselves).

Every slight change on one parameters can give a completely different vibe (or not work at all), so what you did in such a short time is great!

I didn't manage to do delay more than one or two minutes, but the concept is very interesting and the art is gorgeous, congratulations :)

Harder than it looks, but I love that many of us made a rhythm game this year and the idea is clear and well presented, congratulations :)

Yay, another rhythm game!

I wish we had a few more lives so we didn't go back all the way to the start, but this is fun, congratulations!

Not necessarily my type of game, but it was very well executed, good graphics, cute gnomes...good job!

I HAD to continue, I was needed on the mooooooooon!

Very well done on all fronts, 10/10 no notes, congratulations :)

A bit too buggy to experience comfortably, but I really like the idea of retaining knowledge of how things work while the loop resets in a puzzle game. Interesting mechanic, good work!

This is such a unique take on rhythm games, it's lovely!

Thinking in another language doesn't help being good at it but the idea and the cute execution is delightful, very well done :)

It took me a loooong while to get that the foreground layer also had decorations, not only the mascot, and I though the game was stuck on level 2.

Once I figured it out it was very nice and cute, congrats :)

Honestly, I feel like the game is missing a lot of polish to be truly enjoyable (nicer graphics, ability to skip/close dialog, ability to influence your luck by actually playing minigames)...

...But the idea is one of the best I've seen in this jam, and the story "justification" of it and the humour are great, congratulations :)

I'm one of the dev of Sheepherds, so let me tell you I know all about sheep herding in a video game, and yours is nice!
I found them a bit "lazy" (loosing speed quickly) and hard to wrangle, but it gives a relaxing vibe that is supported by the cute visuals: you create a beautiful little experience, congratulations :)

A fun idea brought to the next level by the modifiers and the quality of the final product (having multiple languages is a big flex in a jam!), great work!

Thanks a lot, glad you had fun <3

More enemy types would be very fun, we had the idea on the back of our mind to include an enemy that would partially mute the music for a few seconds to challenge players to keep time for example :)

Thank you very much, 816 is indeed an excellent score, congrats!

We've found out yesterday that the timing precision is off by about 0.5 frames, so that might come into play.

I'm very glad you pushed through and you found your flow, thanks for playing!

Risk/Reward is one of my favorite game design tools ;)
We have found a way to improve the timing accuracy (by about 0.5 frames) yesterday, I hope it will be enough to fix the issues for the post-jam version.

Thanks a lot for playing, glad you had fun!

Pleaaase show the controls in the game, it's a shame that such a good game is hidden behind comprehension issues!

Best game of the jam for me, the gameplay is perfectly varied, art is cool, and the level design is exquisite.

It reminds me of rhythm doctor, which a very high compliment :)

I never really got in the flow unfortunately (I'm not sure how the music, countdown, and enemy attacks sync?) but the presentation was very nice and your key art is gorgeous, congratulations :)

This was extremely hard for me, especially without clues from the music itself (I think), but if I see a rhythm game I press like, and the art was cohesive and clear, congrats :)

The game seemed stuck for me after the second NYE countdown and I'm not entirely sure it's supposed to do this...but I'm choosing to believe it means there's no year after that and honestly this ending works for me.

I don't mind the text-only graphics but for this kind of minimalist experience I would have like some audio, apart from that this was really moving and beautifully written, congratulations!

Took me a little while to understand that I could click the microphone whenever I wanted, that sometimes there wouldn't be a guilty suspect, and that different post-it notes were not cumulative, but overall this is a great experience with nice art, congratulations!

I was a bit thrown of by the fact that you can't click on menu items, but you've actually go a really fun idea, and being a DnD player myself I'd love and RPG mechanic like that!

The menu art is also absolutely gorgeous.

Congrats overall, neat little game :)

A lot of obstacles in the way compared to my driving skills, but this was actually quite fun to drive around and the art is nice, congratulations :)

Not super on theme but I had a really good time, seems inspired by RV there yet and it's not a bad thing :)

There's a lot to like all over, congrats!

I couldn't get to the end, but I really enjoyed the narrative, the level design, and mostly the gorgeous environment art, very well done!

Yay, I saved the world!

There are a few imperfections (I almost quit because I didn't know when it would end, settings a a bit clunky), but overall I feel like this is a perfect example of an excellent jam gam!

I love when the story happens on the "edges" of gameplay, it really augments the vibe a lot with minimal production, very well done, good job!

It was bit hard to see and intuit the exact state of the game, which led to me more or less trying things a bit randomly, but apart from that the presentation is nice and the idea is fun, congrats! :)

Yeah, it's not very forgiving and there seems to be small imperfections in the timing sometimes which can make it harder (that, or our code has a bug ^^')
Can you confirm that you played with a wired (not bluetooth), just to be sure?
You can also play in Easy mode, the music is slower so the hit windows are wider.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you found the flow!

A few ideas:
- Play the audio of the notes when the "order" appears so you have an additional way of "learning" the order
- Play the audio of a note when you press it on the piano

- Show the note played on the scale (visually), so you can adjust higher or lower based on that
- Make the gameplay elements bigger

I've read in another comment that you had issues with playing multiple sounds, but in case you manage to fix it I think more audio cues would help in general :)

The game is still a bit rough around the edges but it was fun exploring the map and the cat is adorable <3
Congratulations on your first game!

Let's start with the fact that moving around is a little clunky...but it doesn't matter at all : the game you made was really poetic and truly moved me, thank you <3

Thank you very much! My biggest fear is that it might be hard to get into, so if you have any kind of suggestion on this front I'll take it :)

I failed Willow's trust at level 7 or 8 I think :')

Nice little game, simple and efficient, congrats!

Just a tiny bit frustrating when you get slightly caught on an edge, but overall great use of the theme, nice mechanics, great art style and incredible cover art, well done!

I would have loved more content, but what's there is already very polished and cohesive, congratulations :)

A bit too hard for my skill level, but I liked that it's a platformer you have to treat a bit like a puzzle game, well done :)

I'm not used to the kind rhythm game that's on the DS so it was a bit hard for me, but I really liked the conversation part with the "call and response" patterns a lot, congratulations!

I never found out how to shoot and thought I had to go to the bottom left corner at first (where touch controls briefly appear), but the idea is great and the game is quite polished, congrats :)
